Sincere
I stood near the front door and watched the camera we had outside of the gate. Who was this chick pulling up in this red Ford Taurus? She stopped right in front of the box to put the code into the gate before turning to Effrin. What was he doing up in that car? The girl reached out and pressed the button to sound somebody in the house that an unknown visitor was trying to get in.
"Cheyenne Davis. I'm here to bring King back home."
I took a deep breath. Oh, so this was the Cheyenne nobody could bring information up on? Charmaine and I spent countless hours searching this girl on the Internet and asking around town for her but nobody could give us any information on her. Now, she just randomly pops at my house on a Thursday night?
I pressed the receiving button, so she could hear me. "Why are you bringing him home?" I asked.
"His car broke down at the club and I just decided to give him a ride back."
"I'm good Sin," Effrin replied. "Can you open up the gate? I'm not tryna lean over her."
I rolled my eyes and pressed the button to open up the gate for him. His car broke down? Maybe I'll believe that lie but why, out of everybody who came through that club tonight, was she the one to bring him back home?
I pulled the front door open and watched as he climbed out of her car, just before he gave her a hug. I frowned. Who is this girl to be hugging on him? If they're just good friends or if they're sleeping together, you don't do that kind of stuff in front of his wife. I
I kept my arms folded as Effrin walked up to me with half of his suit on that he had on earlier. "Where's your suit jacket?" I asked as I remembered him walking out of the house this evening in a pair of slacks, a white button down and his suit jacket because he said he had to meet with some important people at the club tonight.
"I left it at the club tonight," he mumbled as he walked into the house. "It started getting hot up there. Where's everybody at?"
"E.J. is getting ready for bed, Deonte's out with Mylene, Victoria's out with Malaysia and Theodore's upstairs in his room. He's not feeling too good. Him and Shyla are arguing right now. What happened to your car?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. I'm gonna get it toed to Leroy's in the morning so he can look at it," He said as he loosened his tie around his neck.
I scrunched up my face. "Ew, why do you still talk to him? That man is strange Effrin. I told you years ago that I saw him hit his wife at his shop. Please don't take your car up there."
He sighed and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm good Sin. WHa'ts he gonna do to me? You know that nigga be stuttering and shit when he's around me. He's probably just scared of me, that's all. How you been doing?" He asked as he rubbed my back.
"I'm good. That's that Cheyenne girl?"
"Yeah, so what? She's just a bartender at the club, that's all. She offered to give me a ride since her shift was over for the night, ma chill."
I rolled my eyes. "Alright, I'll chill," I mumbled as I pushed his hands off of me. I figured she worked at the club since she had on one of the bar tending outfits but that didn't mean she wasn't trying to do anything with my husband. I'm no insecure woman, but I know a thot when I see one and that girl is a thot that's been doing something with my husband. They might be looking at each other or even sleeping together but I know something's up with that girl.
"What's for dinner?" He asked just as I was about to walk upstairs.
"Your left overs from Red Lobster."
