Annetta's POVLoitering was never really my forte however, ever since I've encountered Destefano once again, it has become a daily occurrence.
After my kidnapping last week, I was remained under caution. Lorenzo has been watching my every move and Destefano has only tried to sweet talk his way through me. I really wanted to wrap my hands around his neck and squeeze until he could no longer breath.
As I stumble into the estate, I did not realise how I bumped into every single men that resided in this estate. I was flustered as each and every one of them watched me, Dante, Tony, Julian and Fabio, but the only person I made eye contact with was Dante, my brother-in-law. However, I could see him from the corner of my eyes, scrutinising me as he always does.
"Annetta." Dante greets, he curtly nods his head and smiled softly, "Your mother and Adriana have been waiting for you. They're inside."
As I watch Dante, I quickly glance over at Fabio who at this point seemed uninterested. His lips were pulled into a straight line as I glance at them for a second, my core burned at the sight of him, my body ached for his touch. I wanted him right now. A slight bit of disappointment fills me when I realise that I couldn't have him, not right now and never. His hands were in his pockets as he looks away from me, something was sketched across his face but I couldn't pin it. It was his wedding day tomorrow, that was probably why he seemed off.
On a second note, the estate was decorated so beautifully, it was obvious that there was going to be a wedding taking place here. The decorations were white and gold, complimenting a fairytale wedding. Not even for a second was the estate quiet because it seemed as though everyone was busy on their feet preparing for tomorrow. Mom and Adriana asked me to visit so I could stick around, and of course, Lorenzo encouraged me to go to use the opportunity to begin my search.
"Yes," I clear my throat and smile at him, "thank you."
"We'll be gone for the rest of the day, if you need to get home, I can arrange for my driver-"
"It's okay Dante," I chuckle before I glance over my shoulder and point at my car, "I drove it here, I can drive back."
Dante nodded his head in satisfaction before he agrees, I smile back at him before he proceeds to leave the estate grounds and the rest of the men followed him. Fabio was the last one to leave and as he walks away, he glares at me. Something inside of my stomach turned as I caught him glaring, it was dangerous and suddenly, I felt intimidated and I knew that I shouldn't even be here. I wasn't here for the right intentions, Dante was a good person to me but I was working with the same people that wanted to destroy him.
I shake off the guilt as I make my way into the estate, my stomach turned as I inspect the whole area. It was so beautiful, it was an absolute dream to get married.
One day.
My jaw clenched as I continue to inspect, the more I thought about it the more guilt I felt. I didn't want to do this but I was obliged to, I couldn't watch Destefano destroy Adriana once again and I definitely couldn't allow it to happen. I didn't do anything the first time he caused her pain, and so I would do everything to stop it from happening once again.
Music blared from somewhere in the estate and so I followed it. I reached the backyard and found the rest of the family members over there, enjoying their time as they were celebrating. I inhale a breath and smile when I see Adriana, a huge smile spread over her face when she saw me, I wave at her which immediately summoned her to approach me.
"Ciao!" She greets as she engulfs me into an embrace, I smile widely as my sister embraces me like she never did before. When she pulled away, she pulls me towards the centre of the backyard. "Annetta, you've arrived at the perfect time. Come along and enjoy, we're all having fun."
