Who knew a smile could be so damaging.
Thats how it all it all started.
His smile...
The laugh that graciously followed
Before the climatic peak
Of heart ache
And the cliff i was strung from
And hung in promise
Of a never ending race of feelings
And a head rush of
Psychedelic dreams which
Our moments meant more
Than a fantasy I made
And more like the struggling reality.
But then again, it was damaged
That smile...
Smiles can hide the truth
Smiles can cover the lies
And we are left, strangling beneath
The hoodie given by you.
That smile sparred me for the
Anxiety and depression that sits
Heavy inside the hoodie
Wear them out to get me.
That smile...i thought...
