The Divergent Story: Happy Ever Never

Chapter 8

I don't think I got any sleep last night. Maybe and hour or two. All I know Is that I'm really tired and not just because I didn't get sleep but because of this mess I call my life. I sit up and stare at the wall. Tobias wakes up.

"Good morning, Tris." He says, "want some coffee?"

"Yes please." I say politely. Tobias leaves the room to go get the coffee. I love him to death, but I'm glad to just glad to have sometime to myself. I can't stop thinking about my parents. At least whenever Tobias isn't around. My love for him clouds over all my worries about my parents. I just can't believe they are gone. I know that I have Tobias, but it just feels like it's not enough.

Tobias walks back in with two steaming cups of coffee. "Hey, I have coffee!" He says, trying to be cheerful.

"Thanks." Is all I can say. I sip some coffee.

"So what do you wanna do today?" He smiles.

"I don't know, but our live are so exciting we will find something to do." I say, smiling.

"I just hope it doesn't involve loosing you." He says. He smiles. I love his smile. We pull into a kiss and we just lay on the bed together. Stare at the ceiling. Stare at each other. Stare at random items in the room. Christina comes in, a worried look on her face.

"Uh, guys. I have uh- bad news. Samantha's assistants are going to start her plan today. We have to go see what's going on. I believe they are going to go outside the fence today." At first I try to think how that is bad news- we'll the plan is because she is killing innocent people- but this part of the plan seems to be peaceful. Then I realize.

"She is going to the amity, right?" I say to Christina. She nods. That's the bad part. If Johanna refuses she will definitely do something about it. "We have to go to the amity. Or at least we have to go with them outside of the fence. We have to do something about this." I say.

"Tris, of course we will. But neither of those things sound like a plan, they sound like an idea. An idea that will get us nowhere. " Tobias says. That kinda hurt, coming from him. But I see how that makes sense. I just want to do something about the world. I want to do something, anything. "We need to think of something. Maybe we could disguise ourselves as the Erudite. And go with them outside of the fence. ". He says. We all nod and try to find something blue. We have a mix of clothes from amity so we all find blue. We get dressed and make our way to amity.

At amity, we were hiding behind a wall until we saw the erudite. We get in the mob that follows Samantha. Hopefully there won't be a ruckus because then we will have to fight as well. Samantha goes up to find Johanna. They talk but I can't hear her. I'm guessing she gets the key because she doesn't say to fight or anything. Samantha and the mob walks out and we follow. She gets in her car and the others get in the cars behind her. We start moving and we are on our way to the fence.
