CHAPTER 14: THE REVEAL

Oark flew to Iran to watch our match with The Philippine Foot Ball team. It was a pretty tough match.

We were so engrossed because we want to secure a spot for the World FIFA competition which is set later this year.

This is the last match and our teams are tied. I was already tired but seeing Oark in the audience perk me up.

The match ended and we suffered a great loss from our opponent. Thank God Oark was there to cheer me up.

"You played well. Don't worry"
"It was a lost opportunity for the team"
"Common Beep, there are other time for you guys to win"
"Hey, thank you for being here"
"Of course, I will always be here to support you Beep"

After saying this, I reached for his hand and kissed him on the lips. This time it was passionate.

We went home to Thailand and as usual, life went on for Oark and I.

I received a brown envelope on the mail from an unknown sender. When I opened it, I was shocked of it's content.

The brown envelope contains a flash drive with a note saying I need to play the video in it. When I did, it's a video scandal of me and Oark having sex.

When I contacted Oark, he told me that he also received the same.

We took the video for our personal consumption unluckily, Oark left his phone somewhere and he forgot to delete our video.

"What shall we do Beep?"
"Why did you lost your phone in the first place?"
"I'm sorry okay, it's my fault"
"No I'm sorry, we did it together. I should not be blaming you"
"I'm scared, what if the video has been circulated onLine?"
"Oark, I think this is already high time for us to reveal our true status to everyone"
"What? Are you serious?"
"We need to be true to ourselves. We love each other so there is no reason to deny our relationship"

We admitted to our families the real score between us. Our families especially Oark's dad was devastated.

"This can't be!" Oark's dad was fuming mad.
"But dad, it's the truth. Beep and I are in love with each other," Oark reasoned.
"Since when did you had your affair?" His dad inquired.
"It has been three months now Dad," Oark admitted.
"What? You two are famous athletes and girls magnet, how come this happened?" His dad asked again in disbelief.
"Dad, we are not gays. We don't like any other guys except each other," Oark said.

Despite our explanation, our families are still against our relationship and only my brother Bin accepted us.

"Oark, we need to call for a media conference"
"What for?"
"We need to tell the world about us, I mean it's time to let the people know how much we love each other"
"Do we really need to do that?"
"Yes, it is the only way that people can accept us by being true to ourselves".

A media conference was held where we revealed our true status as boyfriends. Everyone was in shock, they can't believe it.

For us, however, we felt we were freed. We felt that we don't need to pretend anymore. We can be ourselves.

Since our revelation, our fathers remained cold towards us.

I think our fathers' friendship was likewise affected by it. Later on, dad soften towards us and accepted my relationship with Oark.

Oark's dad on the other hand is still against our relationship. In fact, he sent Oark out of their house.

Our commercial endorsements also started to dwindle. Our team managers also talked to us that if we don't end our relationship, they will be forced not to re-sign us to our respective leagues.
