CHAPTER 17: CAUGHT IN THE ACT

"Good evening dad!"

"Bin, where have you been? You seem to be busy lately?"

"You're right Dad, I need to attend to our business lately. So, I need to travel back and forth from Thailand to Vietnam"

"Is that so?"

"Yes dad"

"How was our branches in Vietnam?"

"Our branches are doing well. We plan to expand in other areas in South East Asia. Our target is the Philippines and Myanmar"

"Bin, you know we have treated you as our real son right?"

"Of course Dad, I know, wait, where is this conversation going?"

"Bin, tell me the truth, if our business in Vietnam is going well, why is it we're loosing millions?"

"Loosing millions? Who said that?"

Then out from now where, Blue came out and butted in.

"I did Bin"

"Blue? Where did you get that gossip my dear brother?"

"It's no gossip Bin, I got documents showing we're loosing millions. When we had it investigated, we traced the missing money to the personal account of Therapat Wattariwai, also know as Gum Therapat"

Bin was mum and could not say a word. He knew that at this moment, he is already caught in the act.

"Bin, why did you transferred the amount to his personal account?"

"Why can't you answer dad's queries Bin?"

"Okay, I did it. Im just an adoptive child and I felt that I will never have a fair share in your wealth, I decided to transfer that amount to his account so I can withdraw it anytime".

Blue and his dad were shocked with the admission of Bin. The man whom they treated part of the family.

"I used his account so you will not suspect that it was me. Just in case you will learn about it. But I guess I'm caught"

"You bastard! We treated you as part of the family"

"Blue!"

"No dad, this ungrateful man should be sent to jail"

"You want me to be jailed? Go ahead! I'm not afraid anymore"

"I can't believe you did this to us son"

"Don't call him so dad, he is not your son. By the way, there is more."

Their father was shocked to learn that Bin did other nasty things aside from squandering money from their company.

"Yes dad, that's not all. It was also him who spread the relationship between Beep and Oark"

"You did that also Bin?"

"You know Blue, whoever the investigator you hired to spy on me did a very good job"

"Bin answer me, did you spread the story about Beep and Oark?"

"Yes I did!"

"But why? He is you're brother. You ruined your brother's reputation"

"It isn't my fault dad. He came out  from the closet after we spread his affair. He could have denied it"

"Stupid! If you didn't spread it, out brother could have kept his sexuality as a secret"

"He must thank me, because he is free now. Even if I hate him, still it was a favor for him"

"Why do you hate Bin son?"

"Let me tell you why dad, since he was born, You're attention was on him and I'm always neglected"

"That's not true"

"Yes it is dad"

Suddenly, Mr. Watakeekul felt chest pain and could hardly breath. Eventually, he collapsed before Bin and Blue.

The two men, who were shocked of what happened, came to his rescue.

"Dad, oh no. I'm sorry Dad"

"Stay away from my father, Bin"

Blue pushed Bin away and asked him to leave. While weeping, Bin rushed out from their house and bumped into Beep, who just arrived.

"Blue? Dad? Oh my God, what happened?"
"Beep, help me, let's rushed Dad to the hospital"
