WE GOT BALLS (finished)

CHAPTER 1: THE BEGINNING

I'm Norn, a veteran sports reporter. I have covered different sporting events and saw several athletes come and go.

Today, two famous names in the field of sports in this country emerges, Samboon Watakeekul or better known by his nick name "Beep", a football celebrity and basketball superstar Paitoon "Oark" Onruang.

These two, although belong to different sports, have been pitied against each other. They always compete from the attention of the girls, being cover boys and product endorsers.

Maybe, that's the same reason why they despise each other. Let's take a closer look at their story here in "DOCUMENTED".

Samboon Watakeekul, nickname: Beep, age: 23, height: 6' 2", Birthplace: Samut Prakan, Sports: Soccer, Position: midfielder.

Paitoon Onruang, nickname: Oark, age: 23, height: 6'3", Birthplace: Bangkok, Sports: Basketball, Position: Guard.

Waatakeekul came from an affluent family. His father owns a trucking firm. Youngest of three boys, he finished a degree in Economics at Chulalongkorn University.

Meanwhile, Onruang, a single child, is a son of a former general who happens to be the bestfriend of Waatakeekul's father. He finished a degree in Engineering also in Chulalongkorn University.

They have known each other since they were children. Serendipity? Yes maybe but as we said they hated each other.

Year 2000

"Wap, I'm glad that you accepted my invitation for you to have dinner with me and my family. I know you are such a busy man," Beep's father said.

"How can I refuse the invitation of my best friend? This is my wife Kulap and this is my son Oark," Oark's father replied.

"Is this Oark? He is already a big boy. This is my son Beep. I think they are of the same age. Those two boys sitting in the sofa are Blue and Bin, my elder sons," Beep's father introduced them to their visitor.

"You have a huge house. It's a nice place Cam", Oark's father continued.

"We need to have a larger space because we have a huge family. Let's eat!", Beep's father invites.

They talked about a lot of things over diner.

Oark's father said that he is set to have an early retirement from the military where he holds the rank of general while Beep's father narrated about the things he's going through with his business.

While their fathers are the best of friends, it seems that Beep and Oark will not get along well.

Blue and Bin invited Oark to play pass ball with them. Beep seems to dislike Oark for reasons he could not understand.

"Beep, come play with us," Bin invites his young brother.
"Yes, were having fun here common," Blue added.
"I don't want to," a stubborn Beep replied.
"Why?" his curious brother Bin asked
"I don't want to play with him," Beep explained referring to Oark.
"Dad told us Beep to be friendly," Blue reminded his younger brother.
"I don't like to be his friend. You don't play with my brothers," Beep then pushed Oark causing him to fall into the floor.
"Why did you pushed him? That's bad," Bin reprimanded his younger brother.
"Dad, Dad, Beep pushed Oark," shouted Blue which caught the attention of their father and that of Oark's father as well.

The two rushed to the scene and Oark immediately hugged his father. Beep's father apologise for the misbehaviour of his son and asked Beep to apologise to Oark but he refused.

Beep was scolded by his father and spanked. He was forced to apologise and after which he ran towards their house crying.

That was their first encounter but little did they know it will not be the last.
