Evelyn's POV"That is Cair Paravel, the castle of the five thrones. In one of which you will sit, brother, as High King." I told Peter. Aslan walked over to us and nodded to me.
"You doubt the prophecy?" Aslan asked.
"No. That's just it." He turned to Aslan and I. "Aslan, I'm not who you all think I am." I smiled softly at my brother and looked out over the distance as Aslan responded to my doubtful brother.
"Peter Pevensie, formerly of Finchley. Beaver also mentioned that you planned on turning him into a hat." We all laughed lightly at that.
"Peter, there is a Deep Magic, more powerful that any of us, that ruled over all of Narnia. It defines right from wrong, and governs all our destinies. Yours...and mine." Aslan looked down in sorrow but Peter never noticed. I did, however. I was going to ask, but decided it was not the time.
"But I couldn't even protect my own family." I shook my head. He is only looking on the bad side. He's protected us, I know it's my job as the oldest but he needed to learn to fight for himself.
"You've brought them safely this far." Aslan told him.
"Not all of them." I looked down with a sigh at my negative twin.
"Peter, I will do what I can to help your brother but I need you to consider what I ask of you." We looked over the camp of people. "I, too, want my family safe."
"I'm going to see our sisters. If you need me, someone will guide you." I told my brother. He nodded not looking at me as I walked away.
I smiled as Lucy and Susan called me over. "We were going to the river. Lu insisted we waited for when you finished talking with Peter."
"Let's go." We giggled as we told jokes on our way to the river.
"You look like mum." Lucy told Susan.
"Mum hasn't had a dress like this since before the war." Susan told Lucy.
I smiled as I watched them. "We should bring her one back." Lucy proposed.
"A whole trunk full!" I exclaimed and we all laughed.
"If we ever get back." Susan said not realizing she spoke her thoughts. Her gaze was on the water, but she turned to us. "I'm sorry I'm like that." She noticed our sister's frown. "We used to have fun together didn't we?" She smiled at us. I nodded and then smirked at my sisters.
"Yes before you got boring." I splashed Susan and Lucy as they laughed.
"Oh really?" Susan challenged me. "I'll show you boring." We splashed each other for a bit then Susan went to grab a towel.
I looked up in alert as a wolf growled and snapped at my sister. I unsheathed my sword and pointed at the wolf. "Please don't try to run. We're tired." I pulled my sisters behind me and glared at the traitor. "And we prefer to kill you quickly." Another wolf said as he came out of hiding. I nodded to my sisters. Susan threw her towel at them as I guarded them to the horn.
Lucy blew the horn loudly as I fought off the wolves. "Get in the tree!" I called and Susan helped Lucy get up. I kept aiming my sword and glaring as my sisters climbed the tree. "Stay back." I warned and kept the wolves at a distance.
"Get back!" Peter yelled as he unsheathed his sword and ran to my side.
"Come on. We've already been through this before. We both know you haven't got it in you!" The wolf growled at Peter and I glared.
"Maugrim, Leave...before you won't be able to." I threatened and my siblings looked shocked by me. I've never tried to harm anyone or anything like that in front of them.
The second wolf was trampled by Aslan as he and Oreius came with some men from the army. Oreius went to kill the other but Aslan stoped him. "No! Stay your weapons." I nodded towards the warriors. "This is Peter's battle." He reminded us. I backed off and moved closer to my sisters.
"You may think you're a king, but you're going to die...like a dog!" The wolf pounced on Peter and growled. Lucy and Susan screamed for our brother but I only smiled proudly, of course after I realized where the sword was. Peter's sword went through the wolf's chest. My sisters ran to Peter in distress and moved the wolf off of him.
Peter looked frightened. My sisters hugged Peter and Aslan let the other wolf go. I pointed towards the runt and glared. "After him. He'll lead you to Edmund." The warriors nodded and obeyed. Aslan looked to my brother.
"Peter, clean your sword." Peter did as told then kneeled in front of Aslan. Aslan set his paw on Peter's shoulder then took it off. "Rise, Sir Peter Wolf's-Bane, Knight of Narnia." I've never been prouder of my twin. This is a huge honor.
Peter nodded and sheathed his weapon. He looked to us and a smile broke out on his face. "Come here." I hugged him tightly and noticed that Aslan had walked away. "I'm so proud of you. It is a huge honor to be dubbed a Knight of Narnia." I smiled at my siblings. "Now, on we go. We must see Edmund."
