Evelyn's POV

After reading the first chapter, all of my siblings besides Peter were asleep. I shut the book quietly and kissed my sisters' foreheads. They were tucked in bed already and sleeping peacefully.

I looked to Edmund and shook my head with a small smile. He complained about the story, but it put him right to sleep, as always. I shook him awake as Peter rubbed his eyes. "Come on Ed. Off to bed with you two." He sleepily followed my twin and I into the boys' room. I kissed both of their foreheads and blew out the candle. "Goodnight my dears." Two mumbled 'goodnights' were heard and I closed the door.

I walked to my room and lit a candle. I set the light on my nightstand and started to read the journal that the Professor wrote.

I laughed at a few parts of the writings. "Who calls themselves The White Witch? It's like saying, 'Hey, I'm evil and I hate everyone'."

I grabbed my journal and started to write down a few things. "The trees can hear you. They are known as Dyrads. Always watch your back in the forest for some of the dryads are on Jadis's side. Never cut down a tree." I looked at the clock to see that I had been up quite late.

When I started to yawn, it was nearly four in the morning and the sun would be rising soon. I set my two books on my nightstand and blew out the candle.

I had woken up later than usual the next morning. It was nearly eight. I hurried to get dressed and grab my books. I ran to the kitchen and started to boil some water for my tea. "Did you at least sleep a wink?" Mrs. Macready asked me as she walked in the kitchen not a second later.

"I slept later than usual. I got a total of four hours." I told her as I wrote down in my journal all about the tea I would have with Mr. Tumnus.

"That's more I like it. Now, next time I suggest you get eight hours." I laughed and poured my water into my cup. My tea packet sat in the water changing the clear liquid into that of a brown.

"Your siblings should be up soon?" She asked me as she started to make breakfast.

"They'll sleep in for at least another hour. I'll be in the library again." I told the housekeeper as I grabbed my tea and books.

She shook her head and started to make herself some tea. She made breakfast for me, her, and the Professor as she knew we were the only ones up. I walked to the library and sat in the chair that was next to the window. I set my things down and sighed in content.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

I looked out the window to see raindrops. I frowned at the weather. My siblings were planning on going outside today. I shook my head and started to continue my studies.

I read three chapters from the science book and four from the literature book. It was a random book the Professor assigned to me for the month. They are normally big and about some dead person. He makes me read them but never explains why. I guess so The Macready won't question his teaching skills.

An hour later I had finished the breakfast Mrs. Macready brought and I had also finished my daily journal entry for the morning. "I can't believe it's raining." Edmund grumbled as he and our siblings walked in.

"I know. And Eve is nowhere to be seen." Susan responded with frown.

"You obviously haven't checked in here." I stood from my chair and grabbed my plate.

"Found her." Lucy smirked to our siblings making me laugh.

"I've been here this entire time. Excuse me while I bring this to the kitchen. Did you eat yet?" My siblings followed me to the kitchen like ducklings.

"Yes we did." Peter told me.

"That's good. Did you all sleep well?" The silence I received was very reassuring. "What's wrong?" I asked as I walked back to the library after setting my plates into the sink.

"I don't know what your talking about." Susan stuck up her nose and I gave her a look.

"What was it about?" My siblings sighed and looked down to their laps. I could see the tiredness in all of their eyes. They didn't want to admit they had a night terror. We all took a set around a small table near my studies.

"Lucy had woken up last night about a lady." Susan mumbled.

"Lu?" She frowned for a second then a confused look came to her face.

"I...don't remember what it was really about. There was a lot of snow, and trees, and... a scary lady. She kept screaming something at me about Aslan. I've never heard that name in my life." I widened my eyes and glanced at my journal.

"Do you remember if she had a name?" My siblings looked at me like I was crazy.

"I think they called her White Witch. I can understand why, she was acting like one." I froze in thought for a second and then came up with a quick lie.

"Normally having a villain in your dream means that you are afraid of something that you know. Maybe you're afraid of something she symbolized." I quickly cleared my throat and stood. "Maybe we should play a game. This dreary mood isn't any good with the weather."
