Evelyn's POV

I smiled as I sat my bag onto my bed. This should be quite an adventure. My mother sent me here to one of their old friend's house, the Professor and a Mrs. Macready. I was sent to come so that I could scope out the place.

It was to see, if we needed, the place would be our safe haven from the war. I wished that my siblings were here but 'I'm the oldest and I have to protect them' and 'they can't know what's really going to happen', as mother says.

I decided to search the mansion in hopes to find out if this place was good or not. I found the kitchen and many different rooms. But a room did stick out to me. It was a room that was bare. The only item in it was a wardrobe.

Being the curious girl I am, I opened it. A chill as if winter was kept in this wardrobe hit my face, making me even more curious. I pushed the coats to the side and went in. As I walked further, it seemed that the wardrobe would never end. What surprised me the most is that when I slipped, I fell into snow.

I looked around in wonderment of this world. "Oh my." I saw a creature from a book that I had read, a faun.

"Hello?" I questioned.

"Oh dear!" He walked over to me. "What are you doing here?" He questioned me in worry.

"I just walked through a wardrobe. I am terribly sorry if I am not to be here." I told him and he seemed wary of me.

"War Drobe?" He tested the word on his tongue. He shook his head in dissatisfaction. "Are you a daughter of Eve?" He walked slowly closer to me.

"A human? Yes, I am." A smile broke out onto his face causing me to smile.

"Do you have any siblings?" I laughed a little at the question. What a strange thing to ask, but I did just walk into another world from a wardrobe.

"Yes, I do. I have two sisters and two brothers. They are quite the bunch." He cheered then quieted down.

"We must bring you to Aslan." I pulled my arm back in a hurry.

"I must go though. The Professor will worry. Can I make a promise?" The faun frowned, but allowed my request. "What if I come here in about an hour. I'll tell them that I am just going on a walk. They'll believe I've gone missing since I'm guessing I won't be going back." The faun nodded quickly.

"Please hurry. The White Witch might get news if you do not come back quickly." I nodded and ran back to the wardrobe.

I stumbled out and looked up. "Now what are you doing in there?" The Professor asked me.

"You'll never believe me." He rose an eyebrow and chuckled.

"Don't tell me you've been hiding. You only just got here." I smiled sheepishly.

"May we talk in your office?" He motioned for me to lead the way.

"Come my darling. Tell me what you found." And I did.

I explained that a faun had found me when I fell in the snow. I explained that he and whoever else was there have been waiting for my siblings and I. I also explained that the faun wants to take me to Aslan. "Well, I do believe you should go. Just remember that time does not pass in our world when you are in Narnia."

I tilted my head in confusion. "You believe me?" He laughed loudly.

"Of course I do. I'm the one that made the wardrobe, in hopes that one day Narnia would be accessible again. Why do you think I requested to your mother that you be brought here? I wanted you to find it. Now, off you go, for Narnia awaits." I questioned how he made the wardrobe but didn't dwell on the little detail.

"Would you do me a favor?" He nodded as I stood. "My mother was thinking of sending my siblings off. The war is getting bad and I fear for their safety. If you could request them. I'm not exactly planning on going back to Finchley until my studies are done."

He smiled and winked. "Think of it as already done."

I thanked him and ran to my room. I grabbed my bag and packed a few things like necessities and things to keep warm. I then grabbed the necklace that had two pictures. One of my siblings and I and the other a picture of my parents. I hurried to the wardrobe and walked in.

"Oh my. You're a human." I nodded to the beaver.

"That I am. And you are a talking Beaver, nice to meet you." The faun took my hand and pulled me along. I guess we're in a hurry.

"We must hurry. We can do small talk later."

I smiled as I followed quickly behind them. "Can I at least know your names first?" I asked with a laugh as they took me through the forest.

"I'm sorry. I'm Mr. Tumnus. And that's Mr. Beaver." I nodded with a smile.

"Well, I'm Evelyn Pevensie. And I must ask, where am I?" We came to a halt as a group of creatures neared.

"This is Narnia." The lion spoke. "Welcome, Evelyn, Daughter of Eve." I furrowed my eyebrows and then nodded.

"That is quite the welcome. What is your name?" The lion smiled warmly and nodded towards a hill.

We walked away from the other Narnians and to the top of the snowy hill. "My name is Aslan. I am the King of Narnia. I'm afraid, for your safety and ours, we must go into hiding." He spoke softly but authority was present in his voice. "A lady that goes by the name of Jadis who seems to call herself the Queen of Narnia is on the hunt after the news of your arrival." I nodded and then turned to him.

"Aslan?" He looked at me. "Will I be killed for being here?" He laughed at me and I frowned.

"No, you are under Narnia's protection now. Soon though, you will have to protect Narnia." He told me.

I nodded and then smiled. "I feel like there is a great prophecy about this." I joked and he nodded in seriousness.

"There is."
