Evelyn's POV

We had walked only a little more to get to a clearing. It was completely spring now and it was quite warm, but it's just how I like it.

We walked into the clearing, The Beavers ahead then Peter and Susan, and lastly Lucy and I. I kept looking back into the woods. It seemed like someone was watching but I couldn't tell from where. A horn sounded and I looked to a cliff. A Centaur was blasting a horn, announcing that we had arrived.

I smiled to Lucy as she waved at a few beautiful dryads. "Come on, don't want to keep Aslan waiting any longer." She laughed as she then pulled me faster and past our siblings.

"Catch up slow pokes!" Lucy called out as we passed everyone. They laughed and caught up to us. We made out way into the camp and slowed to a walk.

The Narnians were making weapons and armor, gathering food together, and more. They smiled and followed behind us as we walked by.

"Why are they all staring at us?" Susan asked through her smile.

"Maybe they think you look funny." Lucy teased and I hid a laugh. Susan's smile faltered at our sister's joke. I hurried to give them the real reason to make her feel better.

"Maybe because it's the first time they see more than one king and queen." I pointed out and we all frowned remembering that Edmund was with the Witch.

"Oi, Stop your fussing. You look lovely." Mr. Beaver told his fretful wife.

"As always." I told her and she smiled at me.

We stopped in front of a tent that was surrounded by flags, Aslan's tent. A Centaur, which I quickly recognized as Oreius, gazed at us and Peter stepped forward. He unsheathed his sword and pointed it in a salute.

"We have come to see Aslan." Peter's voice was slightly shaken, but no one seemed to notice. They all whispered and murmured about us, but I never took my eyes off the tent.

The Narnians kneeled down and I followed. I unsheathed my sword and let the tip rest on the ground, still in my grasp. The Beavers were next to kneel, right before Aslan walked out. I could tell that the my siblings were shocked to see a lion, but I knew it wasn't completely unexpected.

They kneeled down and Peter put his sword to the ground like mine. "Welcome, Peter, Son of Adam. Welcome, Evelyn, Susan, and Lucy, Daughters of Eve. And welcome to you, Beavers. You have my thanks. But where is the fifth?"

We stood and looked at the Great King. "That's why we're here, sir." Peter said regretful. "We need your help." We both sheathed our swords as the other Narnians stood.

"We had a little trouble along the way." Susan explained.

"Our brother's been captured by the White Witch." Peter told Aslan.

"Captured? How could this happen?" Aslan looked to me and I could feel his disappointment, but he also showed understanding in his eyes.

"He betrayed them, Your Majesty." Mr. Beaver spoke and the crowd gasped. Lucy grabbed my hand for comfort and I gave it a squeeze to reassure her.

"Then he has betrayed us all!" Oreius told us and Aslan shook his head.

"Peace, Oreius. I'm sure there's an explanation." Aslan looked to me and I nodded. He understood that it would be long and he gave me a look saying to explain later.

"It's my fault really. I was too hard on him." Peter said remorseful and looked down.

Susan put her hand on our brother's shoulder and squeezed. "We all were."

Aslan gave a curt nod. "Sir, he's our brother." Lucy said quietly and Aslan sighed.

"I know, dear one. But that only makes the betrayal all the worse." He then looked between me and Peter and his features hardened slightly. "This may be harder than you think."

"Oreius, show them where their tents are. I would like to speak with Evelyn." Oreius nodded and motions for them to follow. I followed Aslan into his tent after giving my siblings a reassuring smile saying it would be all right.

"I am not disappointed in you, Evelyn. I knew something would happen. You cannot control the temptations of the mind. They just got into this world, you cannot expect them to listen to you completely. Curiosity is a hard thing to over come." I nodded to Aslan's words. "Now, explain what has happened." I took a deep breath and started.

"Lucy told me that Edmund had already been to Narnia before we all came. He was very standoffish with us the entire time. He was certain on getting to Jadis as he dropped hints subtly. When he left, I traced him down to see he was heading towards her castle. We were too late to reach him before the castle doors closed. That is all I know." I explained, looking down in shame and sadness.

"It is all right, Evelyn. You did not fail. We will get him back. Now, how about you go and be with your siblings. They are new to our world. They will need help." Aslan smirked at me and I laughed.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." I bowed and left his tent.

"Evelyn!" I turned to see Lucy and our siblings. I walked over to see Lucy and Susan in new Narnian dresses and Peter in Narnian clothes too.

"Would you happen to know where my tent would be? These clothes are not exactly comfortable." I told Lucy and she nodded.

She pulled my hand to a tent that was off to the side with two other tents near it. "Here." I walked in and smiled. It was cozy and had a hammock. There was a chest with clothes and some weapons.

"We were going to the river if you wanted to join." Susan proposed and I shook my head with a frown.

"You two go. I think Pete and I need to talk." I playfully sent a scolding look at my twin making our sisters laugh.

"What did I do this time?" He groaned, playing along.

"The real question is, what didn't you do." Our sisters giggled even more. Peter and I shared a warm smile while he led them out of the tent.

I turned around and looked through the clothes. They had a few outfits in the chest. I noticed they had a blue cotton dress and a small brown corset to wear. I hurried to change into the new outfit and slid on some flats that were easy to run in.

I fixed my sword and then hung my wet outfit on a pole to let them dry. I grabbed some of my hair and smiled. I parted my hair and simply brushed though the two parts. I looked in the small mirror and nodded in content. I walked out of my tent to see where I could find my brother.

Peter stood waiting for me outside the tent. We smiled at each other. "Hey, let me show you something." I pulled him by the hand towards a large hill. The exact hill Aslan had once taken me to when we first meet.
