3rd Person POV

Edmund stood in front of Jadis, The White Witch. The Witch sat on her thrown of ice as if she was as important as she imagines she is. "Tell me Edmund, are your sisters deaf?"

Edmund was slightly confused by the questioned but shook his head. "No." He said with a slight smile that soon faded.

"And your brother, is he," Jadis thought for a few seconds, "...unintelligent?" Edmund smiled at the Witch. He took his chance in making the witch laugh, though any Narnian knew it was impossible.

"Well, I think so but mum says..." The poor boy was cut off in fear of the Witch.

"Then how dare you come alone!" The Witch yelled at the young King.

"I tried." He pleaded as he backed away from the approaching Witch.

"Edmund, I ask so little of you." He tried to reason with the unreasonable.

"They just don't listen to me." Jadis ignored Edmund's pleas and excuses.

"You couldn't even do that." He tried his last hope with the Witch he thought was on his side.

"I did bring them halfway. They're at the little house at the dam. With the Beavers." He pleaded with her.

Ginarrbirk raised his eyebrows at this. The Witch tapped her fingers in thought. "Well, I suppose you're not a total lost then, are you?" The Witch turned away and sat at the ice throne.

"I was wondering," Edmund started, being the gullible boy he is, "could I maybe have some more Turkish Delight now?"

The Witch turned to her minion, Ginarrbirk, and nodded. "Our guest is hungry." The dwarf advanced with a smirk to the deceived King.

"This way..." Ginarrbirk then pointed a knife into Edmund's back and forced him to the awaiting prison, "for your num-nums."

The Witch called for her favorite wolf. "Maugrim?" The wolf growled as he walked in. "You know what to do." The wolf howled and more wolves appeared from the halls. The young King watched in terror and realized what the wolves were doing. He scolded himself for being so stupid knowing now his family and innocent Narnians might be hurt.

While this was happening, Beaver and the prophesied children ran into the house. "Hurry, Martha! They're after us!" Mrs. Beaver started to run around, packing food for the journey saying that Mr. Beaver got upset when he was hungry. Susan helped the Beaver as Evelyn was trying to calm little Lucy down. Poor girl was frighten our of her wits.

Outside of the house, the wolves surrounded the place. Maugrim ordered his pack to take them down and they attacked. It started with them clawing at the roof as they had climbed. Then it was the others clawing at the wall.

Before the wolves could get in, Mr. Beaver orders them to all go through the tunnels he had built. Evelyn was the last to go through, at her insistence.

Lucy tripped and silence over took the group as barks were heard. They were in the tunnel. "Quick! This way!" Mr. Beaver called out as Evelyn hurried to keep the wolves away. The group came to a dead end and they all started to worry.

"You should have brought a map!" Mrs. Beaver scowled in worry.

"There wasn't room next to the jam!" Mr. Beaver retorted. They climbed a different way and Peter let his sister walk in front.

Lucy tripped over statues as Evelyn and Peter moved a barrel in front of the hole. "What happened here?" Peter asked in a voice Evelyn thought sounded like a King.
