CHAPTER 6: KISSED

Hayden P.O.V.

I moved when I realized that someone was lying next to me. Opening my eyes and I realized that I wasn't dreaming. I leaned over and grabbed my phone off the nightstand, it was 4:00am. We had fallen asleep for hours. Fae was breathing quietly and turned back towards me. She snuggled then threw her arms around me.

I had to pee. So, I got up and went to the bathroom painfully untangling myself from her. I relieved myself and went back to the bedroom. My cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. She was laying in my bed and she wanted to kiss me earlier. Did she really want to kiss me or was it because she was emotional? Reminding myself that this wasn't the right time to be thinking about that, I went back to the bed and sat down.

I stared at her, the bruise on her cheek was prominent and made me angry. Why couldn't she tell me who was hurting her? Why would someone her hurt? This wasn't the first time, I had seen her limping on the field before and that day when she collapsed during the scrimmage scared the shit out of me. Was it her parents? Or a boyfriend? Was she even single? Why didn't anyone know anything about her. I was going to get details, maybe Vivian knew something? Starting to get frustrated I stopped my thoughts and tucked a piece of her silky hair behind her ear. 

She woke up and moved, getting up from the bed to stand, I followed and stood up as well. I regretted waking her. I turned on the lamp light. "What time is it." She said rubbing her eyes.

"Four." I said. I observed her as she blinked sleep away. The warm light only illuminated the room a little bit, which made her facial features glow in the dark.

She looked embarrassed that she had slept next to me. "Why are you upset?" I asked getting angry. "You avoided me after we fell asleep at Vivian's house too." I asked pissed. "Do you hate me or something? Who's hurting you Fae, I can help if you'll let me." I said like I was begging.

Before I could finish asking all the question I had for her she move forward and pressed her lips to mine. My eyes widened at first then I couldn't contain myself any longer. I laced my arms around her waist and pushed her as close as humanly possible to me. Until I could feel her breasts and thighs pressed up against me. I pressed my lips to her amazingly soft ones. She moaned slightly. She smelled so good, like roses and a hint of my shampoo. I felt her arms snake around my neck pulling me to her. I wanted more. I ran my tongue across her bottom lip asking for permission. I groaned in pleasure when she opened her mouth letting me in, I took her tongue. Not taking a breath, I took her mouth completely, exploring every inch, until she was out of breath. My hands tightened around her, so she wouldn't move. Her hands untangled from my neck, she rested them on my arms. She pulled away from me slightly heaving from the kiss. She looked surprised, I looked at her swollen lips, and couldn't help but smile.

I pecked them, I still wanted more of her. I hadn't realized that I had pushed her against the wall. Her eyes were still wide, and she had the most perfect rosy blush spreading across her cheeks. "Are you going to let me go?" She asked nervous.

"No." I said, smirking. "So, I guess that's a no on the hate me question?" I raised my eyebrows.

"It... it...was a thank you kiss." She stammered, squirming in my grasp. She was adorable. "I shouldn't have done that." She said moving her gaze from my eyes. Her eyes had darkened slightly from the usual icy blue.

"Don't apologize." I said firmly. "I've wanted to kiss you for the longest time." I confessed. I kept one of my hands wrapped around her waist and moved the other one to caress her hurt cheek. "Let me help you Fae. Please."

I had said the wrong words, because she immediately pushed her arms forward, pulling away from me. My grip on her weakened from surprise. "No. You don't know me." She said quietly, backing away step by step.

"Then let me." I said as my voice quivered. Where had all my strength gone?

"No. Leave me alone." She said and quickly turned to grab her back pack, then she walked out of the room before I could reach her. Why did she kiss me, if she wouldn't let me help her?

Short Chapter I know I know! BUT IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!! The kiss we all have been waiting for. 

Will Fae accept him? Will Hayden be able to help her or help himself?
