Fae's P.O.V.

The stench of rusty metal filled the house. Blood stained the ground. My hands trembled in fear of what I saw next. Using the wall to steady myself, I tried not to fall in in the puddle of blood in front of me. I walked into the destroyed house. I saw two bodies littered on the ground. Two men, in suits, cover in dark blood. Identical to same men earlier who had surrounded me. In front of me my stood my mother, holding a gun at me. Smirking.

"You have impeccable timing daughter."

"Mom..." I whispered out. "Don't." I begged quietly. I thought she was hurt, but here she was the one hurting.

"Why shouldn't I? Did I ever tell you how your Father died? He died protecting you. You! Oh, so innocent, Fae. He died because he wanted to run away from his destiny. He hated me because of you. I HATE YOU SO MUCH! No worries darling, just one pull of this trigger, and your tattered life will all be over."

"You... you can't do that please." I whimpered.

"I can't?" She laughed sickening. "Guess what darling? I fucked your boyfriend's father, seduced your best friend's dad. Ruined any chance you had at getting a scholarship for college, because who would want to educate you, pathetic brat. You have nothing to live for. So why live?"

I stood immobilized. I couldn't move. My legs were glued to the bloody floor. My head felt dizzy.

She looked at me as something possessed her, she flicked off the safety of the gun. I was paralyzed. My eyes scanning the room for something I could defend myself with. There was a gun next to one of the dead bodies, which stood a few feet away from me. I felt sick inside seeing them. If I could just move...I needed to defend myself. I didn't even know how to defend myself or use a gun.

The shrilling sounds of the gun firing caused panic. I ducked in time, falling. My hand reached out as I slammed and skidded on the ground. My clothes soaking in blood. I grabbed the gun, it was heavier than I thought.

The saddest thing was, I wanted to see her die...I wanted to shoot her.

I lifted the gun using both hands. The metal clanking together in my hands. It was a sliver gun drenched in blood. Holding it higher I pointed it in the middle of her chest. My hands trembling as I tried to steady them. I held back a sob.

She laughed. "Shoot me I fucking dare you." She screamed at me.

I winced, as her voice rang bells in my ears. I tremored in fear. My life flashed before my eyes. As she lifted her gun and aimed it at me. Standing with her dark locks, blue eyes. A spitting image if me stared at me with hatred in her eyes. I choked out a cry. "Please don't make me do this. Please." I begged.

As soon as the words left my mouth, a gunshot fired. Making me paralyzed in fear. It hit the wall, before another hit inches away from my foot. I moved, running to the other side of the room trying to find shelter. I shook as I held the gun in my hand. Ducking behind the counter in the kitchen.

"You can't hide Fae." She laughed out.

I quivered behind the counter uncontrolled. I couldn't protect myself. I couldn't. Tears streamed down my face. Gun shots, rang in the house, as she was shooting randomly. I covered my ears.

"Fate!" I heard a voice. Only one person in the world call me by my actual name. My eyes widened. No. No. No. It couldn't be.

"Damon?" Her voice broke.

I peered my head up from the counter, as silence took over the entire house. My whole world stopped. He stood in a black suit. Slick black hair, with brown and sliver littering the sides. Tall and built. My entire body trembled. A million feelings filled me. Then my eyes swayed when I glanced at the figures behind him. My entire body felt numb when I saw the dark hair, and strong jaw. My first thought was Hayden...but it was Asher.

I watched as the entire scene unfolded in front of me. She walked to Father and tried to grasp his suit, gun in hand He pushed her away as she stumbled back, with her mouth wide open.

"Alissa. I am so disappointed. You knew I left because I couldn't escape my past. You were to mother our child. You were to be her protector. Instead you spun lies of my death. Became an alcoholic and slept around. You beat her. Hurt her. I know my absence would affect you, but you took it to the extremes. You even tried to sell me out to another group, but they turned on you. My dear Alissa, you have made quite a mess for me to clean up." He said firmly, without emotion or moving.

I could move, he was here. Alive?

"You think it was easy to raise her!" She pointed her gun at me, as I stopped breathing. "She was a brat, every minute she reminded me of you. You left to protect her, what about me? You didn't even care what happened to me. I barely was able to move on after you! I hate you so much."

"Please Alissa, it was the money and drugs that mattered to you since the beginning." He said with no sensation in his voice.

"Fuck you." A wicked smirk plastering her face. "What are you going to do when I kill you only heir, your precious Fate?".

A gun shot ran out, I moved, but not quick enough. It grazed my waist. I cried out in pain. I double over onto the ground on my knees, blood seeping through the fingers I pressed against the wound.

"Now before I kill her, I will kill you, you bastard." She seethed out in anger.

It was like slow motion, her gun raised, the men standing behind Damon move forward, but not quick enough.

I move before I could understand what I did. Gun fire echoed the room.

Everyone turned to me. Eyes falling on the poor girl who had just killed her mother. The gun fell out of my hands. I wiped the blood across my cheeks, brushing my tears that fell. Blood smeared everywhere. Her blood had squirted on me as the bullet hit her back, straight into her heart.

I swayed. As my hands immediately went to my waist, clutching the excessive blood pooling out of my body. The world flipped from left to right, before collapsing into darkness.
