Hayden's P.O.V

I adjusted my collar, trying to loosen the tie that wound around my throat. I glanced at my phone to see if I got a return message from Fae. Her texts had been vague and I hadn't seen her around Viv's for the past few days. I was starting to worry of she was upset at me or if something was wrong. I would stop by Vivian's later tonight. I couldn't wait around anymore.

"Hayden" I glanced up, finding Alexandria Blaire standing in front of me in another hideous red dress. "Dance with me baby?' She purred.

I put on a tight-lipped smile and took her hand; leading us to the dance floor. The only reason I was dancing with her was because I wanted this to be the last time she asked. I let her dance while I stood like a statue and moved a few steps when she pulled me.

"Stop being such grouch." She hissed out.

I narrowed my eyes but turned my head, away from her, to find Asher leaning against a far wall with Noah in tow. Mom and Dad posed with arms around each other as they made rounds with the investors. I just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. As well as out of this suit. I wanted to see Fae, taste her soft lips, bite her neck, where she would let out a moan. I wanted to hear her scream my name until I brought her pleasure.

Just thinking about her made me hurt inside. I missed her and wanted her near me right now. After she attended the gala with me last week, every single one after felt dull and boring.

"You're not even listening to me!"

I turned looking at Alexandria. "I could care less." I answered her plea. I knew that I was being mean, but Alexandria was a different creature. Rude, ignorant, and heartless. She was pretty, sure, but not comparable to Fae who was drop dead gorgeous. The only thing that mattered to the Blaire sisters was fame and money. Which they would get by marrying into the Vanderbilt family. Evelyn. the younger Blaire sister, was not that bad as Alexandria who literally made me want to choke myself.  I stepped away from her and bowed, excusing myself in the eye of the public.

"You can't leave me here on the floor! People are watching and...Hady! I...". She whispered harshly at me.

I made my way to Asher who was watching with a grin plastered to his face. If I wasn't wearing this damn suit, and not in front of Dad's people I would wipe the smirk off with a punch.

"Can we go home?" I requested.

"Of course princess. Mom and Dad are both not staying with us tonight, so we can just go back to the house."

"Home! The food here is yucky. I'm tired!" Noah spoke, who was tucked near Asher's leg on a Gameboy.

I scooped him up into my arms and nuzzled his neck, sending him into a fit of giggles. Asher did a good job watching him at the gala's as Dad always tended to drag me out onto the floor.

"Stop Haydee!" He laughed. I hated that he always had to go these events where there was no one his age, and the kids who did attend were snobs and picked on him. I shifted Noah in my arms, he had grown quite a bit. His platinum hair had started darkening a bit, like mine, light curls at the end. Everyone told me that we had the same eyes. I let him lay his head on my shoulder as he closed his eyes and sucked his thumb. Smiling at his actions and his nickname for me, I rubbed his back, and undid his tie, shoving it into my pocket.

I turned and watched Mom and Dad smile and act like a couple. Mom convinced Dad to take her to this Gala somehow, instead of his new super model item. I detested that they needed to put on this fort in front of people that the Vanderbilt's were strong and united.

"Let's get out of here." Asher spoke, who was also looking in the same direction as me.
