Fae's P.O.V.

I watched the clock strike 3 am. It had been hours since Asher had left. My curiosity was getting the best of me. I felt like touching everything and exploring the entire place.

I couldn't, I shouldn't touch things that are not mine, but after sitting on my phone for hours staring at Vivian's number I need to move. Sliding off the sofa cautiously I set my backpack on the dark hardwood ground and slipped off my wet sneakers. In my socks I padded over to the kitchen and open the fridge. There were a few apples and water bottles stacked in the highest shelf, but nothing else.

I looked back at the door expecting him to walk in any minute. Closing the fridge, I moved to the bedroom. The bed looked like it was never touched. Grey silk sheets tucked into perfection. The curtains drawn tightly, not even letting a droplet of light in. Asher and Hayden had similar color schemes in their rooms, dark and luxury being a common theme. I walked over to the drawer and open a drawer finding it empty. Drawer after drawer, empty. Nothing. There was nothing of his own in any drawer or closet.

Going back into the kitchen I saw the amber color glass on the side of the island. Rolling my eyes, I thought, of everything he would have alcohol. I bent down and opened the glass and found not a wine rack, but dozens of high-end alcohols and a first aid box.

"A first aid box?" I said out loud to no one.

I picked up the white box and immediately heard something heavy shuffle around. It was heavy, my eyes widened. My fingertips trembled as I opened the latched and dropped the box, the contents spilling to the ground.

A black gun, along with wads of cash banded in spirals. My hands shook, I couldn't move I was stuck to the ground. Why...Why would he have a gun? I quickly stuffed everything back into the box, how was it position? How did I pick it from the cabinet? Leaving and it I went back to the sofa in shook. My entire body was shaking. I laid down on my side facing the kitchen, curling my feet into me. Where and what had I gotten into? Should I leave, or should I stay and act like nothing happened?

Before I could decide, the door swung open and Asher came in. I wiped my face of shock. Resting into the couch, closing my eyes, I pretended like I was asleep. I even out my breathing and opened my mouth slightly.

I heard him shuffle into the kitchen dropping his keys and something else on the island. Then he didn't move, not making a sound. Suddenly footsteps got closer to me. I felt him move a piece of my hair behind my hair, and his minty breath fanning over me. After a few minutes, he moved away, his footsteps getting further and further away.

"Hello? Yes. It's done. Not yet, I wouldn't if I was you. Fuck Rylan, I told you not to do anything. He'll be pissed. Ok I'll be there tomorrow."

My breath caught. Was he still speaking to someone on the phone? I pretended that I didn't hear anything, as I snuggled further into the sofa, to appear like I was asleep.

I heard a door close, and quiet. After what felt like an eternity I turned around and saw that the lamp was off, and he was gone, in his room. I debated my options, I could run, but he would know that something was wrong, I also had nowhere to go. I decided to stay the night then I'll leave in the morning, before he wakes up. I just want it to be alright. I wanted everything to go away.

Hayden's P.O.V.

I woke with the shrill of my phone ringing. I glanced at the time. 5 in the fucking morning. Picking up the phone I croaked out a hello.

"Good morning sweetheart. You have a little problem. Your girlfriend is currently sleeping at my place right now."

"What?!" I yanked the bed sheet off my legs and threw the shirt lying on the floor over me. I grabbed a toothbrush and toothpaste and started brushing my teeth. "What the fuck. Asher...she was going to go to Vivian's!?" I remember her telling me that she would go to Vivian's.

After she had left yesterday I realized how wrong I was for letting her think that she was alone, that she was the one who was in the wrong here. But, Vivian was off the rails and I just wanted everything to be alright. Vivian would win, she had the entire school standing behind her. "Where are you. Why did she come to you? Why not me?" I felt my anger boil. Did she feel like she couldn't trust me, that she went to another guy, and out of everyone she went to Asher?!

"Calm down man. I'm in the Southside apartments. 333. I didn't want to leave her here. I don't know if you want to talk whatever out...".

"I'll be there in five." I yelled at him on the phone. I was never bad at controlling my anger. But with Fae, something was stirring inside me. I jus didn't understand her. I want to, but she wasn't letting me. Instead she was closing me out as much as she could, and now Asher is getting involved.
