"Give me my guns" I sigh and rip the guns out of Will's hands.
"What's your name?" Will smiles.
"Mary" I lied.
"Really, you don't look like a Mary" Will bit his lip. He walks over and flips my bangs with his fingers.
"Don't do that" I turn around grasping my red hair in between my fingers. Everyone always complimented my red hair and green eyes, they were all bad liars.
"Where did you get that necklace?" He pointed at the necklace sitting on my neck, it's two pistols crossing eachother.
"Somone important gave it to me" I sigh, and wipe back the tears.
"Who?" He smiles and reaches towards my neck and grabs the necklace. I quickly grab the necklace from his hands.
"Stop being so nosey" I frown and walk away from him.
"Where are you going?" He shouts.
'How much is the reward for you to be safely returned?" I yell turning around slowly.
"5 million!" He yells, when I understood what he said I stood frozen. I immediately grab a rock and run towards him. He looks questionabley at me. When I am in good distance away I throw the rock and hit him in the head. He falls over. I tie Will up and drag him across the desert, I am waiting for him to wake up. If I turn in the brat, I get to live life without having to steal or work, I can be by myself, forever.
"Why did you have to tie me up?" Will frowns.
"5 million could really give me the life you deserve" I sigh and grip the rope tighter.
"Do you hear yourself? Do you know how many stories I have heard by just asking around about you? How brave and noble everyone makes you sound? In years from now people will tell their children about you, honestly I am disappointed" Will spits on the hot sand. I kept walking, astonishment spread across my face. "Plus, my father is looking for you too, and isn't going to let you go free" Will sighs. "He wants to figure out how you stay alive, that why I ran away, I came looking for you, my butler told me your story" He examines the rope. "I thought you could help me" Will had a sense of sincerity in his eyes, so I let him speak. Instead of throwing a rock at him, like I do with all my other problems, I let him speak.
"Help with what" I drop the rope and stare at him.
"That necklace of yours, is one of four, not all exactly the same, but all alike" He frowns.
"So you want mine? and why is it important?" I frown and grasp my necklace.
"I am not taking your necklace and your necklace has certain powers" He trails off. I immediately rip off the necklace and shoot myself in the forehead. I wake up an hour later. I start cursing and I put my necklace back on.
"Once you wear the necklace for a while the power stays with you" He sighs and pulls the bullet out of my forehead.
"What do the other necklaces do?" I sigh.
"Some of the same effects, they can't die as well, others play off their strengths" He smiled and unveiled the necklace hanging on his neck. It was a Sun.
"What are you? A pyro?" I frown and clutch my necklace.
"I can control, my overwhelming charisma can overthrow anyone's will" He smiles.
"I don't feel compelled to do your undying wishes" I arch my eyebrows.
"You aren't effected, another necklace perk" He smiles and cracks his knuckles. "Will you untie me?" He sighs. I cut the rope off of him.
"Where and what are the other ones, and I don't have any special power" I frown and bite my lip.
"Yes you do, you took out a whole task force of gang members in seconds, you are the ferocity of the four. The other two, besides you and I, they are the brains and the well I, have no clue. The stories of the last of the four is kinda foggy, nobody knows" Will frowns.
"Whats the point of the necklaces?" I sigh.
"We were specially choosen and we are a special team to protect, something. I haven't found out what yet." Will trails off.
"You aren't the best at finding information are you?" I sigh loudly.
"Hey, I am the beauty, not the brains" He winks. "I found enough information to find you" He runs his fingers through his hair. He moves closer to me, I instantly back up and examine the desert.
"Where do you found this information?" I rub my chin.
"I ask around" He frowns. The closest town is one I am wanted in. Damn, always trouble.
"The town closest is one I am wanted for thievery and assault, you are gonna have to be the one to ask around" I wipe the sweat off my forehead. He begins running his finger through his hair.
"Its what I am best at, remember" He grins devilishly. We walk towards the town, he does nothing but go on and on, he never stops talking.
"Do you ever quit talking?" I frown and stare at him.
"I hate silence" He smirks, it's probably that stupid necklace. I didn't want this life, why did he have to give it to me? I edventually tuned Will out. The memories of this town hit me in the face. Running from the sheriff, his face was unforgettable, I imagine it was mutual. So one glimpse from him and I will be in jail, again.
"Where do we start?" I sigh and bite my lip.
"I generally ask the saloon owner" He rubs his chin.
"Great, I needed some alcohol" I chuckle. Will rolls his eyes and walks through the saloon doors. We sit at the bar, I immediately order a drink. Will starts talking to the bartender.
"Know anything about Mary Loft?" He smiles, you could tell he was working his charming powers at full throttle.
"She left town days ago, in search of some necklace" The bartender sounded emotionless as if in a trance.
"Thanks" Will smiles and grabs my hand and quickly walks out if the saloon.
"Hey! I wasn't done with my drink" I shout.
"What is your actual name?" He frowned with a serious look on his face.
"Lucy Drum" I lied.
"No time for games, I know that is not your actual name" He sighs and I realised his hand was still intertwined with mine, I immediately tugged my hand away.
"I don't need to tell you" I frown, I was only being so difficult because if he knew my actual name, he would run away. He sighs loudly.
"Mary is in a town just down the road, I read the bartenders mind" he walks quickly out of town.
"Wait? Why are we in such a hurry?" I frown.
"We have to find everyone and get all of us to Mark" Will yells out and quickly puts his hand on his mouth.
"Mark? As in Mark Campbell?" I yell, anger blurring my vision.
"Yes, our job is to protect your father" Will sighs.
