Part 10

THe next day me and SKylar were bandaged up heavily. Her back had 3rd nd 4rth degree burns and I had bites that needed over 20 stitches.

Bell Elise and kevin dropped in. "No murders so far" Bell said "well what do you think? They lost their sneakiest person" I said. Skylar rolled her eyes and said "Any sightings?" "Not yet. We've toooken turns, because if you don't remember we're in school and we have homework" Skylar began getting out of bed "We need to balance them" "The nearest balancing flowers are miles away. Around here it's too possessed with dark energy" I said "But we could use some light magic possibly." "Have you tried?" "No. But in theory wouldn't light magic do literally the same thing? Their have too much dark magic. So if we use light to counter them, wouldn't they be uninfected?" Everyone stared at me and Skylar said "That's so crazy and stupid it just might work" "but no one here k owe light magic!" Kevin exclaimed. Belle and Skylar all looked at each other "well..." Bell started. Skylar raised her hand and a bright yellow ball appeared inhergand. Elise and Kevin immediately stood up "Calm down" I said quickly "She's a light caster" Kevin said through gritted teeth "She's a double caster" Bell replied "So calm your nerves." Kevin and Elise sat down. "So its settled then. When me and SKylar get better we'll all go out and uninfect them."

A few weeks later...

We were finally let out of the hospital bay. "Any plans to get me close enough to them to-" "Skylar can you drop it?" Bell asked. "Why?" "Can we please just relax for a while? You and Austin just got out of the medical bay so..." Skylar crossed her arms "I cant relax until Tracy is okay" "Look, how about we send the weekend down at the village?" There was a medium sized village just down the official path to the school. "No. What if something happens here?" "LOok. At the moment something bad happens well come up here. Besides it mostly only during the day right?"

A couple days later...

We walked down the dirt path to the village. Skylar looked unhappy but she still came. Bell somehow managed to convince her. When we got to the square i asked "So what was your purpose of dragging us out here?" "Well I did see a discount on pets" She said "And your excpecting us to get pets?" Skylar asked "Well, yeah. I heard some are realy useful" "Fine we'll take a look" We walked into a big shop full of cages and animals. I poked at a cage of a small Hydra.

There were gant dragons and monsters or otherwise which attacked you, but smaller ones that coud act like pets. The Hydra looked at me with its three heads, extedning its pair of wings. Bell looked at a griffin while Skylar held the cage of a dragon. "Hm, you know this might not be such a bad idea after all" Sklar said "Ive always wanted a dragon" "And they wont grow to a full size and kill you!" The shopowner cut in. She was a thin woman, with glasses and a mop of grey hair tied into a uneat bun. SEveral dragon claws were stabbed through the bun. The door opened again and Dennis strolled in. "Well look who it is" he grinned evily "Skyware and Austwaine, both in one shop." "Stop it DEnnis" He whirled around and I was surprsied to see Bliane standing there. "What? Stop what Im just-" "Stop it." "Fine" He grumbled past Blaine. I stared at him in shock as Blaine turned and left. "Did what I thought happened happen?" I asked. Skylar shrugged and went back to the dragon. "Are you going to buy something or what?" The shopkeeper asked.

We walked out carrying the cages of our new pets. Apperantly the Hydra was like multiple personalities in one, each head had a different name. "Ken, stop poking your brother." I said "How can you tell if its a femal or male?" Bell asked, looking proudly at her griffin. "Theres a small difference in scale" I said "And dont ask how could there be female and male heads on the same body I really dont know or want to answer"
