In Another World (oneshot)

This takes place in the world of attack on titan. You do not have to read this chapter, it doesn't have to do with the plot line.

Do not read if you have not read chapter 58 and 59 in the manga. Though it is ok to read it I guess because it doesn't really tell anything. This is my little mix up of what was happening in chapter 58 and 59. But this is all mostly Hanjime Isayama's.

Jean's Pov

When we were young we were best friends. I remember when she moved across the street from me, she was 10 and I was 9.

There was no other kids that lived in my neighborhood so I was so happy. I remember knocking at her door, I wanted to introduce myself and maybe play with the untouched ball I had. When the door was opened my eyes met with light green ones, she was about an inch shorter than me she had beautiful black hair that went a little past her shoulders her body was thin and she had pale skin. It took me a moment to notice the look of hatred on her face and I remember shivering in slight fear. She asked me what I wanted in a very harsh tone and I introduced myself, then she did. Jessica Braginsky, her name was one I could never forget.

After she told me her name I nervously asked her if she wanted to play. What next happened scared the shit out of me, she pulled a knife out of her boot and stabbed my ball deflating it.

I ran home crying like a baby, it was embarrassing but something switched in my mind.Determination. I was determined to become her friend. Day after day I would go to her house and talk to her. And day after day she would begin talking to me.

We became friends and I remember so clearly the first time I ever saw her smile. It was so beautiful. But only days later I saw her do another thing for the first time. I wish I never had asked her that question. I wish I never saw her cry. But I was glad I got to find out why she is the way she is.

Only a year prior her father left her family because she wasn't strong enough, because he knew she couldn't be humanity's strongest soldier. He gave up on her and the years of training her young body had to endure went right down the drain. It was for nothing and it had left her heart broken and left with many questions. Maybe if I was stronger papa would still be here? If daddy didnt leave would mommy be happy? Why am I so useless? I could have done better, if I pushed myself harder do you think he would have stayed? I didnt understand much when she told me because I was so young, but now I do and it breaks my heart and I want to cry for her.

But despite her broken heart she began smiling more often, for me, because she knew it made me happy.

We were just kids but we fell in love. We really did. Her heart came back to life and I was the happiest kid in the whole damn world. And one day when she was 12 and I 11 she told me something I did not want to hear.

She said she was joining the training corps and she wanted to become part of the military police. Worst of all she was leaving the next day. I blurted out that I would join next year and get into the military police. She smiled and was happy. And that was when we shared our first kiss. We promised eachother that when we get into the military police together we wouldn't leave eachothers sides ever again, we would get married. And with that she became my fiancée a kiss and 2 cheap rings sealed our promise.

Captain Levi's orders were clear. If you can kill the enemy, kill. I understood the order and would follow through with it.

But I never expected to see that girl I loved so deeply here and pointing a gun at Armin. Mikasa, with her great battle skills, kicked Jessica in the face and she fell into the wagon I was in.
