It had been 2 days since the funeral, and Tony was worried about Peter. He wanted to go to school, but Tony didn't want him to just act like everything was fine. Tony tried talking to Peter about it, but Peter just put on a show. He just put that fake smile on his face, and told Tony that everything was fine. Tony gave the school Peter's doctor file. He wanted the school to look after Peter, and make sure he didn't faint again. The doctors said that he fainted due to Neurocardiogenic syncope. They said it could've been caused by 2 different things. It could've been caused by the emotional trauma from Aunt May's death and funeral, or it could've been caused by Peter not eating enough.
Peter was annoyed by Tony worrying too much. He knew deep inside that he wasn't fine, but he was really trying to be. He just knew that being okay meant accepting May's death, and he couldn't do that. He couldn't say goodbye to her.
Peter stopped in front of his school, and took a deep breath before opening the door. He walked down the halls and went to his locker. Ned came up behind him. "I got a new LEGO R2D2 set!" He exclaimed.
"That's cool." Peter said in a monotone voice.
"I know! We can build it after the decathlon meeting today."
"That sounds good to me." When peter talked it sounded like he didn't care about anything, but Ned ignored it. He knew Peter would be mad if he asked about it.
"Okay. See ya later." Ned said going to his first period. Peter walked slowly to the Library. He had asked the principal if it was alright for him to hangout there during some of his classes. His principal was reluctant at first, but he finally gave in. Peter grabbed a couple of books that MJ had recommended. He grabbed The Perks of being a Wallflower, 13 Reasons Why, and Of Human Bondage. He made himself comfortable, and started reading. He got done with all 3 books just in time to go to the cafeteria for lunch.
