Kota's POV
3,895... "Ok, Kota. You have to match the silver cufflinks...the silver tie...the dark suit..."
Why I volunteered to take Gabe's position is beyond me. Spending an entire afternoon with him yelling at me about the details was bad enough. Now I have to spend the whole evening event with him yelling everything we already went over in my ear. How does Luke handle this yelling?
3,896..."Do no forget..Vic has...wear both...the Armani suit. The other is purely a back up..."
I am glad we already went over everything because I wouldn't understand a single thing he had to say right now. After this mission I need to have a talk with him about talking slower when he he's stressed out. He talks so fast...Why is he so nervous about this?
3,997...Honestly...it's like he doesn't think that I can remember everything he told me before we left the house. It's not like I could forget... he gave me a billion lists and threatened to beat me within an inch of my life.
3,998... "Kota!! Are you F*cking listening to me?!? If you screw his sh*t up because you aren't listening I will pound your a** to the ground. This is my reputation we're talking about."
3,999... Yea, Yea...I rolled my eyes again for the millionth time tonight. This isn't going to be the last time I'm threatened by Gabe. Of course I know how important he takes his role in our team. I would never ruin it and he knows that but he's more of a control freak than he'd be willing to admit.
4,0..The garden door slams open banging against the wall, I quickly raise my eyes to the door Vic walked through a few minutes ago. "Oh SH*T!"
"What?! Kota?! What's going on? Did you just screw up? Kota! Did you rip a button or seam. Kota?!? Mr. B! Kota just cursed and now he isn't answering...something's wrong!!! We need to go in! I knew this was a horrible idea!"
I yank the speaker from my ear and let it hang on my shoulder. I hear the murmuring and yelling but I can't respond right now. All I see is blood running down the blonde curls hanging from Victor's arm and dripping to the floor.
"Vic! What the hell happened! Is that Sang? How did you find her... why is she bleeding?" I know I'm screaming at him as I throw things off the couch giving him space to lay her down. "Corey bring me the first aid bag and I need some ice..."
Vic moves around laying her gently onto the couch, the panic clear in his stuttered response, "I...I walked...She just sat there...I didn't m..m..mean... to frighten her...I j..just...She fell...Kota!" Vic and I hold the stare for 3 seconds before I move around and slightly push him back to check Sang's head myself. Good thing Doc made me attend that pre-med lecture about emergencies and first aid with him last week.
I check the head wound...its a deep gash...probably need stitches...It accounts for all the blood since head wounds bleed freely. I move back and take the bag from Corey before shuffling through it. I find the pen light at the bottom and drop the bag. Flicking it on I briefly shine the light into Sang's eyes looking for any reactions or pupil dilation.
I just pass her right eye the second time when she flinches harshly raising up and over spewing a trail of vomit that hits me, Vic and Corey before flopping back down onto the couch.
"Sh*t!" We all say in unison before bolting into action. Corey sprints into the ensuite bathroom grabbing a towel and heading to the sink. Vic runs towards the door to alert Nate and the others.
"Nate, We have an emergency, we may need to sneak out someway." Vic whispers quickly at the door.
"On it." His deep voice confirms and Victor shuts the door on the next question.
