Sang POV

The sun streaming through my window is the first thing that breaks through my mental dream wall. Then it's the pitter-patter of tiny feet walking into my room. The last thing my foggy mind registers before I am rushing out of bed is grunting sounds. Jumping out of bed and throwing my covers in the floor only startles the tiny figure and almost makes her dump the tray from the large cart she's trying to push.

"Sasha!" I pant breathlessly; "You just scared 9 years off my life."

When giggles are the only response I get. I try a different method, "So breakfast in bed, huh? That's awfully sweet of you. Did someone help you?"

As expected Sasha immediately comes from behind the cart with her hands on her tiny hips and frowns at me. "No. I did it! Sang! I did!"

Crossing my arms across my chest I stare down at the tiny little figure with one brow arched. "Well should I expect someone coming up here after us? Will we be getting into trouble like last time?" At least she has the decency to look at me mischievously. Hind sight 20/20 and all. I wished someone could have appropriately warned me about the trouble Sasha finds herself in. In all fairness I think I can remember Sergio trying to warn me that first week I was here but I was kinda drugged up and in shock so that doesn't count.

When I first arrived Sasha had decided to make me breakfast in bed by pouring two large bowls of cereal and over flow them with milk. Shuddering I remember trying to choke down the soggy cereal before Sergio found us.

A few days later the second surprise was frozen waffles and mashed bananas. Except being only three she didn't heat the waffles.  Cringing I remember the tears when I almost broke a tooth on the frozen dish.

This last attempt was soggy cereal mixed with yogurt and the fruit the Alla had bought for some family dish. That one had been the last for a while because of how scared Sasha had been when she got caught.  Alla had been so upset over the missing fruit and the huge mess she had to clean up.

I almost felt sorry for both of them except it had become a regular thing for Sasha to try to fix me breakfast. I kind of feel like it should have been expected. I didn't really understand why Alla left the 'important' fruit out if it wasn't meant to be eaten. Almost everyone runs through the kitchen grabbing fruit off the counter without asking.

Not that I can say anything. I still have a difficult time with that because of how I grew up. I hardly ever got to eat at all. I would never even think about going in to grab whatever I want whenever I thought I might be hungry. I think that's why Sasha is always bringing me food. All day she will show up with fruit, crackers, juice, cheese and sometimes candy. But breakfast is her favorite meal and she always wants to eat with me. It's not either of our fault that we are the first ones awake in the mornings.

Todays concoction look least appetizing of anything she has brought me; it looks like Sasha has fixed syrup drenched bread.

Sasha tears up before she looks down quickly placing her hands behind her back and starts rocking on her tip toes. Bending down to her level I place a hand on her back and one on her round little tummy to stop her rocking and get her attention. I hated seeing her so upset. She tries so hard.

"Sasha? What's going on? Why are you so upset?" Her tiny arms wrap around me so fast it knocks me to the floor. Sobs wrack her tiny body as she buries her face into my neck soaking my shirt in seconds. Crossing my legs I pull her into my lap hugging her tightly until she's ready to talk. Humming I gently run my hand through her hair and down her back before starting again.
