Chapter 6

Hayes and I have been dating for exactly a month now. I wonder if he remembers it's our anniversary. Am I taking this too seriously? Ugh. I don't even know. Hayes and Nash are still doing this Vine thing, I followed both of them and I have to admit, they're pretty funny. They really love doing it. I can tell.

Hayes is coming over to hang out in an hour. I get in the shower, and shave my legs.

When I got out, I put on a black pair of Nike Pros and put Hayes' Davidson Day hoodie on over a tank top.

I put my hair in a messy bun, and slipped some black and white Nike Elites on and then did my makeup.

I'm not too worried about being super gorgeous because over this past month, Hayes and his family have seen me at my worst looking, and at my best. So they don't really care what I look like anymore.

I heard a knock on the door and yelled that I would get it.

I ran down the stairs and opened the door.

"Hello, gorgeous." Hayes smirked and I threw myself at him in a hug. We haven't kissed yet, but we're taking it slow.

"Hello, handsome." I said as I let go.

"Why are you so happy? Is today a special day or something?" He asked and I got disappointed.

"Um, I don't know, is it?" I asked.

All if the sudden, Elizabeth, Nash, Skylynn, and my mom popped up behind the furniture and screamed, "happy one month!"

"Hayes! Did you put all this together?" I asked.

"Yea, with some help." He said and smiled.

"Thank you guys so much!" I said.

Hayes pulled a box out if his jacket and gave it to me.

"Aww, what's this?"

"Open it."

I opened the box and it had a gold locket with a picture of Hayes and I inside.

I looked on the back and it said, "Happy one month, gorgeous." With today's date engraved below it.

"Oh my gosh, Hayes." I jumped on him and hugged him.

"Thank you so much!" I smiled.

"You're welcome, gorgeous." He smiled.

"Let me go get your present." I said.

I ran up the stairs, excitedly, and grabbed a box I wrapped with 2 pairs of Nike Elites he had been wanting.

"Here, you go." I smiled and gave it to him.

"Alli, did you really get me these?" He asked as he peeked inside the box.

"Well, yea." I smiled and he opened it.

"Oh my gosh. Thanks."

He stood up and hugged me tight.

"You're the best." He whispered in my ear.

"So are you." I smiled.

"So, I have a whole evening planned out tonight for us. Let's start off with the county fair." He smiled.

Elizabeth drove us to the county fair and went back to my house.

"Hayes, this is great." I said as we were riding the Ferris wheel.

"Well, this isn't even close to all of the surprises we have planned for tonight." He winked and we held hands.

At the fair, we saw some guys from my school.

"Hey, Alli. Who's this?" A guy, Bryan, asked.

"This is my boyfriend, Hayes." I said.

"He's coming to our school this year." I said.

"Oh, Clay isn't going to be happy." Bryan said and all the guys behind him laughed.

"Who is Clay?" Hayes asked.

"He's an ex boyfriend. But you don't have to worry about him. He's dumb."

"Oh, if he gives you any trouble.." Hayes said.

"He won't, Hayes. Don't worry. He's scrawny anyways. I could probably take him." I said and curled into him.

"Yea, Clay is all bark, no bite." Trevor, another one of the guys, said.

"Okay. 'Cause if he hurts you, I'll-"

"I know Hayes." I smiled and said 'bye' to Bryan and Trevor.

We stood and waited for Elizabeth to pick us up and I could tell Hayes was still heated.

"Hayes. He won't hurt me, you know that, right?"

"I know, I just hate the thought of anything bad happening to you."

"I'll be alright." I smiled and he smiled back.
