Chapter 3
"Hey, how's it going?" Hayes walked into my room and gently shut the door.
"I've been better." I said and he laughed.
"That really scared me last night. When you started coughing. I didn't know if you could stop. I was freaking out all night." He said and he sat at the bottom of my bed.
"Me too. Sorry about that whole gagging thing. I couldn't control it and it was so embarrassing."
"I knew you couldn't control it. I honestly didn't care at that point. I was just worried."
I smiled and he put his hand on my leg.
"So why did you want to come? I'm sick and gross looking." I asked.
"I was worried about you. I just want to make sure you're okay. And you don't look gross to me." He smiled.
"Oh, and I brought you some cough drops." He pulled a huge bag of honey flavored cough drops out of his jacket.
"Honey is my favorite flavor! How'd you know?" I asked.
"Lucky guess." He winked.
It's so cute when he does that.
"So what do you want to do?" I asked.
"I don't care. How about we turn on some TV so you can get some rest. I'll go home once you fall asleep if you want." He said.
"Okay, and you can stay if you want." I shrugged and turned on the TV.
After about 3 episodes of Drake and Josh, I fell asleep.

When I woke up, Hayes was gone. He left a text on my phone.
Hayes: sorry I left. My mom wanted me to come home to watch Skylynn. I feel better now that I know you're okay. Sweet dreams :)
Aww. He's so sweet.
Alli: it's okay. Tell your mom and Skylynn I said hi! and Nash, too. Haha. I'm getting even better than I was. :)

For the next week Hayes and I hung out almost every day. We swam sometimes, and other times I let him do my makeup, which ended up terrible, and once I helped him watch Skylynn. Elizabeth even says that it's like having another daughter for her because I'm over there so much. My mom doesn't mind either. I kind of like having a guy best friend.. Hayes is supposed to move into the house next to mine tomorrow and we're both really excited.
