My Little One

Realisation

Yugi bows to Atem nervously as he feels faint. A woman with hazel brown hair and a white dress on rushes over and checks Yugi before he starts to stumble a little and then collapses, where Atem catches him. Isis feels his head and sighs. 

"He should be ok, your highness." Isis tells him as Yugi leans on Atems side, unconscious. "He isn't poisoned, he only has a small fever so he must be tired. Just take  him to his room and let him rest." Isis advises and Atem lifts Yugi quickly. 

Atem leaves and Yami follows close behind. Atem enters his chambers with Yami and Heba following as he lies Yugi on the bed in the small slave room. 

"What happened?" Yami asks as Heba reluctantly stays by his side and Atem shrugs before looking at Heba. "Do Heba and Yugi know each other?" Yami asks and Atem nods before Heba sprints into Yugi. 

"They're twins, Yami." Atem admits and Yami's shocked.  "Let us leave them for a moment. Sit down and we can discuss other matters." Atem convinces him and they sit down. 

Around half an hour passes before they can hear light whispering from the small slaves room. Atem is asleep so Yami stands by the door. 

"No, Heba. We p-promised." Yugi sounded weak and like he needed a drink. "We can't break the promise we made. You know that." Yugi was trying to plead with Heba but Heba grunted. 

"It won't be that bad!" Heba snaps and Yami tenses up. "What will Father do if he finds out your hurt?" Heba asks and Yugi's quiet for a moment. 

"Kill the person that did it." Yugi suggested and Yami listens more closely. "P-Please...I don't want to return to Kamii." Yugi admits sadly and Heba sighs.

"Would you rather have the Pharaoh and the Princes die or risk going back to Kamii?" Heba tests him and Yugi's quiet again. "I want to save them. But they will have us killed, Yugi!" Heba spits and Yami's shocked. 

"Fine. But Father won't like this. He never has." Yugi admits softly and Heba stands up. "But, if I get sent back to Kamii, promise me you'll save me, Heba." Yugi tells him as Heba tries to leave and Yami quickly lies down next to a sleeping Atem. 

Atem stirs as Heba and Yugi leave the room, hand in hand and sits up quickly, clonking Yami on the nose, who quickly holds his nose and Atem looks to Yugi and Heba. Yugi leans on Heba lightly but Heba supports him as Atem sits up and Yami copies, but holding his nose. Atem's surprised to see Yugi up so soon, especially after collapsing. 

"Atem. I told you I'd tell you why we don't tell Yami we're brothers." Yugi tells him weakly and Heba grips Yugi's arm. "I-It's tricky. We're not really slaves, Atem." Yugi admits and Heba keeps him upright.

"We're nobility, Prince." Heba admits and Yami's confused. "Our father was Lord Simon Muto and he was the head of the House Of Slifer The Sky Dragon." Heba admits and Atem's shocked.

"That means you're really nobility." Atem admits, standing up. "Then why is Yugi so ill?" Atem asks and a red glow surrounds Yugi before Slifer himself appears, his tail wrapped around the boys and Yugi relaxes in Slifer's grasp.

"I see you met my mischievous sons." Slifer admits and Atem and Yami nod at the same time. "I did not know where they were. They ran off." Slifer tells him and Heba tenses. 

"Did not!" Heba protests and Slifer turns to him. "Someone kidnapped Yugi and I followed to save him!" Heba spits and Slifer tightens his tail around the squirming boy. 

"And look at Yugi now." Slifer scowls and Yugi lay limp in Slifer's tail. "Stop squirming and I'll be able to help him, Heba." Slifer warns as Yugi is covered in a red sparkle-like dust and he starts to stir once again. 

"F-Father..." Yugi whispers and Heba's shocked. "Where's Uncle?" Yugi murmurs sleepily and Slifer smiles before lying the boy on his bed and turning to the princes. 

"I will be leaving, I trust my sons are safe here." Slifer admits and the two Princes nod quickly as Heba rushes to Yugi. 

Soon, Slifer disappears once again and Yami and Atem are clinging to each other as Aknankanon comes in and stares at them. They notice him and separate quickly as Yugi sits up in his room. 

"Where is the slave that was injured?" Aknankanon asks after a moment and Atem points to the slave room before Yami beckons Heba out. "I think I know him. Is he asleep?" He asks and Atem shakes his head lightly. 

Aknankanon enters and Yugi looks over sleepily. Yugi realizes the Pharaoh and manages to sit up slightly to bow. 

"You're name is Yugi, right?" Aknankanon asks and Yugi slowly nods. "You lost your parents when you were little, didn't you?" He asks and Yugi nods again. "In a fire?" He asks and Yugi tenses, then nods, remembering the flames that had stolen his parents in a few seconds and the seller that dragged him away. "Never thought I'd see you again." He admits and Heba steps over to his brother. "Welcome back, Yugi and Heba Muto. Heba, the Head of the House Of Slifer." Aknankanon greets and Yugi grips Heba's hand. 

"How did you know it was us?" Yugi asks nervously and Aknankanon smiles. "We lost our parents when we were 4! Nobody knew we survived!" Yugi panics and Heba sits with his brother. 

"Don't panic. I knew because of your hair and names." Aknankanon admits and Yugi calms a bit. "It's been 13 years, you two." Aknankanon admits and Yugi smiles. 

"I-It's nice seeing you again, Aknankanon." Yugi greets with a smile and Aknankanon pulls him into a hug and Heba joins too. "13 years, huh? Everything's changed." Yugi admits and Heba smiles, sitting beside Yugi. "B-But we need you to help us." Yugi admits and Aknankanon's confused. "When the attack hit - my friends realized that it looked like Royal Guards attacking us, Aknankanon. We don't want to be killed." Yugi admits as Yami and Atem come in and Heba rubs Yugi's back. 

"Do you remember when you were little?" Aknankanon asks and Yugi nods a little. "I used to visit and I would always treat you like my own son. Nothing has changed in that respect." He admits and Yugi smiles.
