My Little One

Heba

Atem stares at his father as he embraces Yugi and Heba smiles. Yugi wraps his small arms around Aknankanon as he holds him close. 

"I didn't recognize you, Aknankanon." Yugi admits with a small smile and Yami's shocked. "I remember our parents speaking of you, they always looked forward to their trips to you." Yugi admits and Atem and Yami look to Aknankanon. 

"Atem and Yami didn't realise you either, I guess." Aknankanon guesses and sighs. "I should've realized. Well, you managed to follow your fathers will." Aknankanon admits and Yugi and Heba clasp each others hands. "He  put if he were to die, you two were meant to come to me if nobody else was left." He admits and Heba nods. 

"Were we supposed  to recognize them, Father?" Atem asks and Yugi and Heba turn to them. 

"Ah, Atem, sit down. You too, Yami." Aknankanon tells them and they sit down on the floor by Aknankanon. "These two will be staying with us. As guests." Aknankanon tells them and Yugi squeezes Heba's hand. 

"Why?" Atem asks and turns to the boys. "And how do they know you?" Atem fires another question and Aknankanon thinks, rubbing the back of his neck. 

"I was...good friends with their father." Aknankanon answers blankly. "Besides, these two boys are the only remains of a powerful house." He adds and Yugi looks to them. 

"The House Of Slifer." Yami states and stands up with Atem. "We know. Slifer appeared and helped Yugi." Yami adds and Atem nods. 

"Well, at least you know that they're powerful." Aknankanon states and Yugi frowns. 

"Well, powerful's an understatement." Atem admits and Yugi relaxes. 

"So even you fear the pipsqueak?" Yami teases and Yugi turns to Aknankanon for permission. "I bet he can't do anything." Yami jokes, approaching Yugi and Yugi tenses. 

"Yami, back off." Heba warns, standing up as Yami continues approaching him. "I'll warn you now; don't go closer." Heba advises, getting in his face now and Yugi looks over, a red tint in his eyes. 

"Heba." Yugi states in an overly calm voice and both Heba and Aknankanon step back from him. "Let him learn what happens if he underestimates me. If you defend him, he'll never learn." Yugi warns and Yami steps to him, so Yugi clicks his fingers and Yami is frozen, unable to move. "Maybe he'll think twice next time." Yugi tells them in his normal, cheerful voice and Yami's eyes widen in fear. 

"Yami!" Atem calls and rushes to his younger brother. "Yami! Answer me!" Atem calls and Aknankanon dismisses the guards that had come running in case there was danger. 

"D-Danne." Yami spits and Yugi clicks his fingers, releasing Yami from his spell and tears run down Yami's face as Atem tries to comfort him. "W-What was that?" Yami weeps and Aknankanon's a bit surprised. 

"Danne?" Heba asks and Yugi looks away. "He can't control which memories you see, or he would've chosen another."  Heba quickly tells him and helps Yami to sit down before gently rubbing his back as Yugi closes his eyes and a single tear falls. 

Atem sits with them and Aknankanon stops Atem touching Yugi before waving a hand in front of Yugi's face and Yugi looks at him before curling into a ball and burying his face in his knees. Aknankanon is far beyond shocked - Yugi always seemed so strong even without Heba at his side, so what happened to make him this vulnerable? 

"Who is Danne?" Aknankanon asks and Heba turns to him as Atem is embracing Yami. "Yugi isn't this vulnerable normally. What happened?" He asks and Yugi wipes his eyes. 

"Danne...is the other slave in Kamii's care. Since Kamii hated me, he often got away with hurting me but he's in a grave because Kamii caught him trying to help me escape once he found out who I was. He's dead." Yugi explains quietly and Aknankanon holds the smaller boy close. "He made me..." Yugi whispers and clings to Aknankanon. 

Yugi soons calms down, but is asleep in Heba's arms and subconsciously cuddles into him, recognizing his touch. Heba gently strokes the bangs out of Yugi's face and lies him down. Heba turns to Aknankanon, who ruffles Heba's hair and Heba groans, trying to pull back. 

"You haven't changed a bit, Heba." Aknankanon admits before Heba smiles a little and sits with Yugi again. "I think I heard of this Danne." He adds quietly and Heba tenses. 

"Don't talk about it with me." Heba advises, turning to him. "I wasn't there." He admits and Aknankanon's shocked. "We were separated that day. He was sold as a slave and I woke up in a mansion. In was taught to keep a straight face...even when killing someone." Heba tells him sadly before standing up. "Yugi, from what I see, got sold to Kamii and Kamii abused him." Heba admits and Aknankanon sighs. 

"I was told by Atem that a slave he bumped into was in a bad situation and he wanted to help." Aknankanon points out and then rests a hand on Heba's shoulder. "Don't worry about Yugi, he'll be okay." He reassures and Heba sighs. 

Atem and Yami had gone to their rooms while Heba, Yugi and Aknankanon had stayed in the small slave room.
