My Little One

Obelisk Visits

As Yugi gently stirred in his and Atem's bed, he noticed a light noise. He sat up, then spotting Atem was awake, curious. He stretched, then froze. He realized what it was. It was Atemu, crying ever so softly. 

"I'll go see if he's okay," Yugi admits, getting up and wrapping himself in a robe. 

He walks into Atemu's room to see Atemu turning in his bed, tears streaming down his face and his body dampened with sweat. Yugi sat down and gently lifted Atemu into his arms, onto his lap and gently rocked him. 

"Shh, Atemu..." Yugi whispers, trying to calm him as weeps escape the poor child. "You're safe, Atemu." Yugi coaxes and eventually Atemu's eyes flutter open and he freezes, spotting Yugi, then relaxes and nuzzles his shoulder. 

"You make me feel safe, Yugi..." Atemu weeps and tightens his grip on Yugi's neck as Atem silently slips in. "I don't want to be alone..." Atemu admits and Yugi gently rubs his back. 

"You're safe, Atemu," Yugi repeats and Atem leans against the wall. "You aren't alone. You just have to sleep alone." Yugi admits

"I don't want to!" He weeps and clings to Yugi. "Ra-Ra...he hurt!" Atemu cries and Yugi gently keeps rocking him. 

"I know it does...but it's for a good cause," Yugi tells him, gently wiping his tears away. "Now, would Ra like to see you crying?" Yugi asks and Atemu shakes his head. 

"A-Atem is behind you..." Atemu admits and Yugi turns to face him before Atemu clings again to Yugi. "O-Obby..." He whispers and Yugi gently rubs his back and sits him down. 

"Stay in here." Yugi tells him and leaves hastily, Atem close behind. "He's just upset." Yugi tells Atem, who hugs Yugi close. 

"He kept clinging to you." Atem admits, pulling back and Yugi nods. "You know him?" Atem asks and Yugi nods slightly. 

"Ra sent him." Yugi admits quietly then moves Atem to the side as a smaller version of Obelisk appears where Atem was standing. 

"How are you, Obelisk?" Yugi asks and he reveals someone stood behind him. "Who are you?" He asks and Obelisk smiles. 

"My name is Seto Kaiba." He tells them confidently and Atem frowns. 

"Do not frown upon my second child, Atem." Obelisk scolds and Yugi gently shakes Seto's hand. "Yugi has more manners than you." Obelisk admits and Yugi turns to Atem. 

"It's a natural thing," Yugi said with a smile before standing with Atem again. "Again, how can I help?" Yugi asks calmly and Obelisk sighs. 

"Ryou needs more support. Bakura has chosen him as his personal servant." Obelisk tells them and Yugi's a little nervous. "Yugi, go to him. I know you feel it." Obelisk tells him before Yugi bolts out the door.
