Fix What's Broken (Fable 3 Reaver)

Battle for Albion and Logan's Trial

    "Alright I've got it." Paige said as she looked at the map that we were all gathered around, "I will take a small group of soldiers down this route and blow up the west barracks. It will draw their attention and open up the main route." She said, "How's that better than my idea?" Ben cut in.

    "We will live longer than a few seconds." Kailin said, "She's got you there." I said while laughing a little, "Oh well, now you're just being rude." Ben said, "Give it up boy. What I want to know is what my men need to do." Sabine said, "That's for the future queen to decide." Walter said, "Which one?" Addie joked as she looked at me, "Anyway, Paige knows the city best. We'll follow her plan." She said, "Fine. I only put mine forward to annoy her anyway." Ben said, "I see you've really matured on your travels." Paige said sarcastically.

    "If you'll look at the map we can go through the details." She continued, "My ships will take you to the beach here." Kailin said, "We can expect heavy mortar fire but most of Logan's soldiers will be busy dealing with Paige and her men." Walter told us.

    "I want to be in the thick of the smoke, and the fire, and the glow. If Paige takes the west route then it's only fair that we take the east." Sabine stated, "Which leaves the center to us. Less chance of getting lost." Ben said, "Then we're agreed." Walter said, "Are you sure you're up to this Walter?" I asked him, "Oh don't worry about me. I may feel old and tired but the day hasn't come yet when I can't charge into a good old fashioned fight." He said before putting his hand above the map. The rest of us joined in, "Let the battle for Albion begin!" Walter said.

~Time skip~

   "Our people are getting torn to shreds out there! They need our help!" Ben called, "We need to take care of that mortar." Walter said, "I've got it!" I called as I aimed my gun and shot the people at the mortar as Addie took out the people in front of us.

   A few minutes later we were at the top of the hill, "The Auroran ships should be able to move in closer now." Ben said as we watched the ships.

   Loud booms were heard and the next thing we knew, the doors blocking us from the city were blown to pieces, "Good job Kailin." I mumbled, "Time to take this fight into the city!" Walter yelled as we ran in.

   We fought through all the soldiers that were waiting by the gate and I ran ahead to find more. I didn't feel right. Something was off, but I didn't know what and at this point, I couldn't afford to take the time to find out.

   I took out the soldiers that were coming and saw a woman crying, "Adam! Adam where are you?!" She yelled as I approached her, "What's wrong?" I asked, "I can't find my son! Please, you have to help me find him!" She cried and I nodded, "You look that way, I'll go this way." I said and she nodded before going over to one of the houses, "Adam!" She called, "Mum!" I heard a boy cry from one of them. I ran over to one of the houses that was about to collapse and saw him in a corner.

   I couldn't get to him without moving one of the wooden beams that had fallen too much and risking the house collapsing, "Hey, look, I can't fit through here, you're going to have to crawl through alright?" I called and he nodded before crawling forward. I carefully lifted the beam in front of me, but I saw some rubble fall, "Come on, hurry!" I said and he crawled faster.

   I heard a crack and looked up to see the roof was about to fall, "Come on, you're almost there! You can do it." I said and he looked up as another crack sounded. I looked up too and saw that the roof could give out any second now.

   I crouched down and leaned under the beam, supporting it with my shoulders and back as I reached out for the boy. He grabbed my hand and I pulled him out from the house right as the roof collapsed. I picked him up and held him close to me as I quickly brought him over to his mom, "Go. Now." I said and she took him and ran off.
