(This image made me laugh so here you go.)

I woke up and the fire had died out already and I noticed it was still dark out so I guessed that it was very early in the morning. I carefully got out of bed so that I didn't disturb Addie.

I walked over to the window and saw that the moon was high in the sky so it was likely around midnight. I then walked over to the couch and grabbed the long dark green robe before putting it on and slipping on my black flats. I quietly opened the door and slipped outside before closing it again. I turned and saw the guards standing there so I put a finger over my mouth to tell them to be quiet since Addie was still sleeping, "Off to the garden?" One of them asked quietly and I nodded. He nodded in return and I continued on down the steps. It was evident by the puddles scattered around that it was raining not too long ago.

I made it to the bottom of the steps and before I was even near the flowers I could smell them. Somehow the rain always makes their scent stronger. Not that I'm complaining.

I walked through the garden before making it to the roses which was my favorite part. I love roses, especially pink ones. I remember Logan had the pink ones planted for me one day when I came to him crying because my ex had cheated on me with two other girls. It's been my favorite spot to sit in ever since because it also over looked the city and the ocean.

I sat down on the bench and just looked around, not thinking about anything in particular before moving my feet up beside me and bringing my knees up to my chest as I looked out at the water. The sky was still somewhat cloudy from the rain, but I could still see a few stars peeking through here and there.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear the footsteps approaching me until I heard someone clear their throat. I looked up to see Reaver standing a few feet away.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, "I was about to ask you that same question." He said, "I'm out here cause I just woke up a few minutes ago." I said, "And I'm here for some business and decided to wander for a bit." he said.

I hummed in response as I looked out at the city. The moon came out from behind the clouds, lighting up the area in a soft glow. Reaver wasn't saying anything, but I knew he was still there cause I could see him out of the corner of my eye.

"I'm sorry." He suddenly said causing me to turn and look at him, "What?" I asked him, "I'm sorry... for basically everything I've done to you." He said, "Reaver's apologizing? Oh my god what's next it starts raining gold?" I asked jokingly and he looked at me with a 'really?' look on his face along with slight annoyance. I could also see a hint of.... amusement?

"I'm trying to apologize and you're making fun of me." He said, "To be fair, you've tried to kill me twice." I said, "And I've saved you more than twice." He pointed out, "Touche." I said.

We continued staring at each other for a few seconds, "I'm also sorry for kissing you." He said a little quieter, "What do you mean?" I asked, "I mean I don't know what came over me and I'm sorry I did that. Not- not that I regret it or anything just..." He said, "Just what?" I said, trying not to laugh as he stumbled over his words. What? Someone like Reaver, you don't really expect them to stutter that often. Or at all.

"Just... I'm sorry for doing that. It was very rude of me and could have gotten you in trouble." He said, "How could it have gotten me in trouble?" I asked him, "well, it's a bit inappropriate for a queen to be... messing around with someone but not be courting them." He said, "And since when do you care whether something's inappropriate or not?" I asked him.

"Why must you ask so many questions?" He said sighing dramatically, "Cause I'm a person and I ask a lot of questions." I said simply.

He shook his head at me and I could have sworn I saw him smile a bit, "May I sit next to you?" He asked, "I don't know, it might seem a bit scandalous if you do." I joked.
