I got changed into a dark blue dress that came down to a couple inches above my knees with sleeves that went down to my elbow and paired it with a pair of black ankle boots. Addie changed into a purple one with short sleeves and paired it with boots similar to mine and we left the room.
We went down to the gardens for a bit and just sat there talking to some of the maids who were tending to the flowers and bushes. After a while, Addie grabbed my arm and dragged me into the kitchen where we both grabbed an apple before heading up to the front where we saw Walter heading upstairs, "We're going out to the city for a bit." Addie said and he nodded before Addie dragged me out of the castle.
Bella and Max followed close behind us before they started running around chasing each other while barking. I took a ball out of my bag and show it to them. They both got excited when they saw it and I threw it as far as possible causing the both of them to run after it. They both fought over it before Max picked it up and ran back to us with Bella close behind. Max dropped the ball in front of Addie as I kneeled down and started petting Bella, "Don't worry you'll get it next time." I said as I scratched behind her ears which made her bark happily.
Addie and I looked up when we heard yelling. After a group of people passed we saw Reaver yelling at someone. Addie and I looked at each other and sighed before I got up and we walked over.
"What seems to be the problem?" Addie asked, "This idiot ran into me and knocked my hat into the water! Do you know how much that cost?" Reaver asked the man angrily, "I'm sorry Reaver. It won't happen again." The man said, "Of course it won't because I no longer have it!" Reaver yelled as he grabbed the man by the collar of his shirt.
"Hey!" I said quickly getting both of their attention. I don't think Reaver knew I was here since he wasn't looking, he likely thought it was just Addie. He should know better by now than to think one of us would show up without the other.
Reaver looked at me and suddenly let go of the man as if he just realized I was here. He backed away from him with his eyes still locked on mine before turning and walking away quickly. We all watched him walk away before turning to the man he was yelling at, "Are you alright?" Addie asked him and he nodded, "Yes. I didn't mean to run into him. One of the children over there ran in front of me while I was carrying that crate. I panicked and moved out of the way and ended up running into Reaver instead. Quite rough too I'll admit, caused his hat to fall off into the water down there. Probably long gone by now." He said.
"Honestly with all the shit he had on it, it probably just sank to the bottom." I snickered which made Addie laugh along with me, "Thanks for helping me though. Who knows what would have happened if you two hadn't shown up." He said, "You probably would have ended up following his hat." I said.
"Besides, it was Dylan who got him to let go of you." Addie pointed out, "He seems to have a soft spot for her if you haven't noticed." She said, lowering her voice so only we could hear it, "Hush." I said, pushing her lightly making her laugh, "You have a good rest of your day okay?" I said and he nodded before picking up the crate he was carrying and continuing on with what he was doing before.
"Can you stop telling people that Reaver has a soft spot for me?" I said as Addie and I kept walking, "Well he does! It's obvious!" She exclaimed and I shushed her, "Keep your voice down Addie." I said as we walked passed a group of people who were eyeing us curiously, wondering what or who we were talking about.
We crossed the bridge and almost ran into a couple children running by, "Why can't parents keep their kids from stampeding around the place?" I muttered as we kept walking, "You really don't like kids do you?" Addie asked, "I do. I just don't like the spoiled ones who scream the second they don't get what they want. I also don't like soccer moms." I said.
"What the hell is a soccer mum?" She asked, "It's basically a mom who's children are the "purest things on earth" and if you say anything they don't like then they'll yell." I explained, "There was one time I was with some friends and someone's kid ran into me and his mom looked at me like I was the most horrible person ever." I said and she laughed.
"The look on her face was like 'how dare you taint my son you bitch.' and I just laughed which made her even angrier." I said causing Addie to laugh even more, "Did she say anything?" She asked and I shook my head, "No she just looked like she just saw someone be murdered in cold blood right in front of her." I said and Addie laughed even more.
"I think I've seen a few mums around here who act like that." She said and we heard a woman yelling at a man at a stall, "Speaking of which." She said as we watched them. The woman turned to us and our eyes widened, "Shit go go go." I said as I pushed Addie a little and started walking faster.
We quickly ran off and went around a corner. We looked at each other for a minute before we burst out laughing, "I love how we reacted to that. Just panicked and ran." She said in the middle of our laughing fit, "That's cause I am not getting caught up in that." I said as I pointed back the way we came.
"Let's go before she finds us and gets angry for us supposedly staring at her precious child." She said and I nodded.
We linked arms and continued walking until we reached the city where we were stopped by a couple of people.
"Hello your majesties." The first man said while bowing, "Hello." Addie said with a smile, "Can I ask you a question? It's for a bet my friend and I have." He said as he gestured to the other man standing beside him. We both nodded, "Go right ahead." I said and he smiled.
"Alright, now I'm sorry if this sounds weird or rude, but are you two in a relationship?" He asked and we laughed, "No we're not." Addie said, "But I can understand why you'd think that." I added. The man then turned to his friend, "Ha! I told you! You owe me twenty gold coins now." He said smugly causing us to laugh again, "Was that all?" I asked and he nodded, "Have a good rest of your day then you two." Addie said.
We then decided to head back to the castle, "Let's go to Bower lake tomorrow. How does that sound?" I asked, "Sounds good. Let's bring Jacob and Elise too. And Elliot" She said and I nodded.
"Aren't you two supposed to get married soon?" I asked, "Yes." She said and I grinned, "I'm planning your wedding and you aren't stopping me." I said causing her to grin too, "I can't see anyone else doing it." She said.
We reached the castle twenty minutes later and went up to her room where we got changed and sat on her bed, "Why do you think Reaver acted the way he did earlier?" I asked her, "Well I think it's because he wants to please you cause he likes you but I don't know." She said, "Of course that's what you think." I laughed, "God if you had a tumblr you'd only have drawings of Reaver and I most likely." I said.
"What's tumblr?" She asked, "It's a website to put it simply." I said and she nodded, she was used to my references by this point. I picked up my bag beside the bed and took out my sketchbook while she went and grabbed a book off the shelf on her side. I spent ten minutes drawing a lily and decided I would color it tomorrow.
I put my sketchbook away and decided to also grab a book off the shelf and Addie and I spent the next few hours reading before falling asleep.
