Operation: Help Peter Parker (Part 3)

"Spring, the Vernal Equinox" Tony Stark said. "One of the 4 seasons we have. When it's Spring, the sun shines more, the flowers are out, birds are chirping, and of course, that's when our beloved Steve Rogers goes out riding his red, white, and blue bike." The crowd laughed, while Steve sank back in his chair, put his hand on his face, and silently said, "Oh, brother."

"But most importantly, Spring is the time...... when our signisus are bothering us. Now enough of this speech, let's party!" And with that,  Stark left the stage while people either clapped, laughed, or cheered.

As Tony was walking backstage, Pepper Potts handed him an earpiece. "You know what to do?" Stark asked her. "Yep, I've got the sweater right here!" She said smiling while holding it up. He quickly nodded at Pepper and kept walking. "Everyone present?" he asked through the earpiece. "Here" said Clint Barton while in his lookout spot, in the vents. "Here, Tony" Natasha said while hiding in a bush outside. (No, she was not playing Fortnite)

"Here, Stark." said T'Challa while he was next to some balloons. "We are both here, Man of Iron! Thor said while stuffing his face with PopTarts sitting with Steve at a table. "Vwe ar here Stark." Said Wanda, who was with Vision on the dance floor. "Present." Banner said while he was in the lab upstairs.

"Here." The God of Mischief said while next to the punch table. "I copy, Tony." Sam said while on the towers roof. At the dessert table, a small Scott says, "Here!" And lastly we go to Peter Parker, who was standing alone in a corner of the room. "Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, present!"

"Good. Everyone is here. Guys, Operation: Help Peter Parker is a go!" Tony said. "Natasha, status?" The assassin was looking through her binoculars at the people walking in. "Target not spotted, yet." She said. "Ok. Keep looking. Bruce how's it going in the lab?" 

Bruce was still working on his experiment upstairs. "The flowers should be ready soon, Tony. I still see some white spots." "Ok, keep working on that. Sam, status?" Stark asked. "I haven't heard anything from Nat, so, they're probably not here yet." Tony sighed. "Be ready when they get here. Antie, you still have the cookie?" Scott rolled his eyes at the billionaires nickname. "It's Ant-Man, and yes it's still here." 

"Thanks, Antie!" Tony said, earning another groan. "It's ANT-MAN!" He shouted. "Whatever. Now, Peter, how are you feeling?" "I'm really nervous, Mr. Stark." He said shakily. "But I feel like this will work." "Jeez kid, calm down about 110%. Breathe in," Peter took a deep breath in. "And out." He sighed out. "Let's do it again. Breathe in," He took another breath in. "And out. Look, everything will be ok, this is going to work. I mean, how could she say no?"

Peter thought for a moment and then chuckled. "You're right Stark, now I feel more confident in the plan, thanks for-" "Guys the target has been spotted! I repeat, the target has been spotted! Rosaleen, is now entering the building!" Parker gulped. "Confidence level is now at -110%!!!" He said shakily into the earpiece.

"Kid, everything is going to be ok. Now, man back up to 110% so you can get the girl! Pepper, you're up!" There was no response. "Pepper, you're up!" Tony called again. "Pepper?!?" "I'm trying to get past all these people! She finally called out!"

"The targat iz now passing the dence flawr." Wanda said while dancing with Vision. Peter was breathing in and out. Rosaleen was headed where he was! "Target has now passed the punch table." Loki said into his earpiece. Peter was now breathing in and out more frantically. She couldn't see him yet! She wasn't supposed to!

"Target now passing vent number 4!" Clint called out. Peter was breathing in and out as if he was  about to go down on an intense roller coaster. 'Come on, Pepper!' Peter said in his head. "Target now passing balloon bunch C." T'Challa said. Peter was now breathing as if his life depended on it. 'This is it' Peter thought. 'If she sees me now, then it's game over!' "Pepper!!!" Tony called out through the his earpiece.

"Almost....there...." she said while trying to get through the crowd. Peter was now frantically biting his nails. 'Pepper!!!!!!' he said in his mind.

"Hey! Rosaleen!!" Pepper called, making Rosaleen look in her direction. "Hey, Aunt Pepper!" She called out running to her and giving her a hug. After a few minutes, they eventually pulled away. "How are you? I haven't seen you in forever!" Pepper asked. "I've been good! What about you?" she asked. "Busy. Very busy!" she said. "Oh, here you go!" Pepper handed the sweater to Rosaleen, who raised an eyebrow.

"It's pretty cold, and you don't have a one." Pepper said while handing her the sweater. "Thanks, Pepper!" she said. "No problem, kid." Her phone then beeped. Pepper then checked it. And sighed. "What is it Aunt Pepper?" she asked. Pepper looked at her a bit disappointed. "I'm sorry, I've got to go, Tony needs help with something." 

"That's alright, Aunt P! I'll be fine!" Rosales assured her. "Ok. I'm so sorry about this. Have fun!" she said while walking away, smiling. "The target is now alone." Pepper said. "Thanks, Pepper!" Tony said. "Now, all we have to do is wait."
