*Elsa*

I had just exited the shop when suddenly I saw here.

"Elsa!" She squealed. "I've missed you! Why didn't you say goodbye?" Tears formed falling down her cheeks, as she wrapped her arms around me sobbing.

"Shhh, shhhh, Anna I'm sorry. We were almost late and we didn't have time. I'm sorry." I lied. I couldn't tell her the truth. I brushed her hair behind her ears soothing her. "It's okay I'm here now. Shhhh, no need to cry."

She seemed to settle at my words making me feel guilty. She started smiling again as I hugged her back.

"Who are your friends!" She whisper-yelled at me.

"Well you already know Punzie don't ya? You see the red haired girl? That's Merida. The boy with the green eyes is Hiccup, and the other boy is Jack." I told her. My friends all nodded at their names. Suddenly Anna pulled me closer so she could whisper in my ear.

"Do you like any of the boys?" She whispered in my ear.

"Of course not! They're just my friends." I whispered to her, laughing at her silly idea.

"So ye're Anna ay? Well tell ye what, Elsa got ye a gift!" Merida said smiling.

"Really?" Anna's eyes widened as I held out the candy for her to take.

"Really!" I said laughing.

"What's Hogwarts like?" She asked me excitedly.

"Well we take four main classes a day. And every Friday, or every other Friday there's a quidditch game!" I answered.

"Really! Can I see one?" Anna said with her eyes even wider.

"I don't think so. Tell you what, there's a quidditch game on Friday, but instead of watching it, I'll stay here with you!" I offered her.

"Can we get candy and do whatever I want!" Anna asked her eyes still widening.

"Of course! And I'm sure Punzie would come along, wouldn't ya?" I looked to Punzel begging her to say yes. She didn't notice my glance at her though, only looking at Anna.

"Of course, why wouldn't I!" Punzel replied. "I haven't seen Anna in six years! Why wouldn't I say yes?!?"

I choked down my sigh of relief at her response. I released Anna and she continued chatting with my friends. They were too busy to notice one little detail. My gloves were coated in frost.

"Elsa, Anna wants one of Madam Amber's pastries, you should get all of us some!" I tell her, snapping her out of a trance.

"Sure I'll be right back!" She replied as she took off to a store to our left. This was the perfect chance to ask Anna some questions.

"Hey Anna," she looked up at me with her big turquoise eyes.

"Yes?" She asked me puzzled.

"Can you tell us why Elsa wears gloves?" I asked her.

"An' why she stopped hangin out with Punzie?" Merida added.

"I don't know." She whispered.

Merida groaned in my ear, her Scottish accent slipping through. "I though' she would be able to tell us everythin', all of er secrets wasted!"

"I always thought that she had a thing for germs. A-nn... a-an." She whispered, trailing off with tears in her eyes.

"And what?" Jack asked her. "It's okay to tell us."

"A-an-d I always thought she stopped playing with me because..." she stopped again, a single tear breaking off from the group in her eyes.

"Because what?" Hiccup asked her again.

"Because I thought she didn't have time to care about me anymore! That she was to old to play with her little sister! That I did something that made her not love me!" Anna sobbed. I pulled her into a hug.

"She obviously cares about ye, or she wouldn' have been, so excited about seein ya." Merida said as I soothed Anna. Holding her shaking body in my arms.

"When did this start to happen?" I gently asked her, concerned for my little cousin.

"Five years ago. I was only four when she shut me out. She moved to a different room across the hall. Everyday I would go up to her door, begging and begging her to come out to play. She never responded though. Once she thought I was asleep, opened the door a bit, and held on  to my skirt. And do you know what she did? She sobbed. All I did was sit there, knowing that this probably comforted her. Sometimes she woke me up in the middle of the night from her screams, or sobs." Anna explained crying.

"Do you know how often she did this?" Jack asked her.

"Almost every night. Usually when she woke me up I heard her scream my name. She would continue sobbing I'm sorry, I'm sorry, over and over again!" Anna said, as if the thought of it haunted her.

"It's okay Anna, there's no need to cry again." I said soothing her. "Now dry those tears up, Elsa's coming with a cake for you!"

Anna rubbed at her eyes, and started smiling, nodding at me. She ran up to Elsa, almost knocking her down with a hug. Elsa only laughed, something that wasn't often heard.

"Anna do you know what I got you?" Elsa teased her.

"What did you get me? What did you get me!" Anna squealed, no trace of the sobbing girl moments before.

"I got you... a chocolate cake!" Elsa answered triumphantly, handing her little sister a fork and plate as we sat down. There was no trace of. There was no trace of the distant sister Anna spoke of. But I reminded myself that Elsa was always the best actress. We soon had to return to Hogwarts.

"You guys go ahead, I'll take Anna to where she's staying." Elsa said.

"No come on, I'll go with you!" I told Elsa and Anna. "I insist."

Elsa agreed as we started the quiet walk to Anna's room at the Witch's Inn.

"Bye Anna! I'll see you soon." Elsa said as she hugged her sister goodbye.

"Yeah and I'll be there too Anna! Just the three of us!" I told Anna, giving her a quick hug.

"Bye Elsa! Bye Rapunzel!" Anna called after us as we left.

We waved goodbye and started to walk home, again in silence. I never pressed her about shutting Anna out as we slipped into bed. All I was wondering was, if I'd ever hear Elsa's terrified screams.
