"Where is that abomination of yours, brother?" Zeus demanded. He turned around from the doors of Olympus, his eyes hardening when they landed on the god of the sea. Poseidon glared at his brother.

"As if I would know, I don't keep track of that little brat." Zeus didn't make any moves. He just stood there with clenched fists. However, the Olympians had heard thunder and lightning competing outside of Olympus. Poseidon rolled his eyes. He crossed his arms, sitting up in his chair, glaring right back at his brother. If anything, they actually looked like a rebellious teenager and a strict parent about to have a fist fight. The way Zeus was standing above his brother and how Poseidon is just looking up at him, giving the significant teenager 'I don't even care' look.

“Can’t we carry on with this meeting without him?” Artemis hissed. “He’s just a stupid male.” Apollo turned towards his sister in shock. Even after Perseus had saved her from holding up the world, she still hated him. Apollo, still remembering his sister’s oath to hate men, had thought that she would’ve at least warmed up to the son of Poseidon. Guess he was wrong, like most things.

“No,” Poseidon said tiredly. He twirled his hand around in boredom. The gods had been sitting around for the past twelve minutes, just awaiting Perseus’ arrival. The god of the sea ran a hand through his hair. “This meeting is about him, darling niece.”

“It is?” questioned Apollo. He knew that the gods had aired a meeting for all gods and some demigods, those who were involved with the seven or were actually the seven, but none of them besides Zeus, Poseidon, and Hera actually knew what it was about. A look of confusion came across all of the Olympians’ faces. This was surely a surprise to all.

Athena cleared her throat. “I guess I’ll get my daughter.” The other gods and goddesses realized what she was talking about. The ones who had children began to call upon them.

Suddenly children of the gods were appearing. They looked around in shock. However, there was one that stood out. Actually, there were two. Nico and Leo. Instead of looking around Olympus like most demigods do, they had tears streaming down their faces.

Apollo furrowed his eyebrows. Of course there was something wrong. It was obviously that none of the demigods that had be called weren’t showing up, something would have had to go wrong. The sun god looked around the other demigods. Although their expressions showed excitement for being in Olympus, it was clear as day in their eyes that there was a troubled soul inside their body. Apollo looked over the demigods once more. His eyes widened.

“Where’s Percy?” He demanded. Nico and Leo fell to their knees crying.

“H-he’s gone,” Annabeth stuttered. Poseidon’s eyes grew wide at the sound of this. His son was gone?

“What do you mean he’s gone?” Zeus’ voice boomed throughout Olympus. Jason looked towards his father.

“What she means, is… He’s gone.”

“Gone?” Poseidon echoed. Jason nodded slowly.

“Five days ago—“ Jason tried to speak. He couldn’t. This was just too much for the son of Jupiter. He couldn’t believe this was happening. The one he became close with. The one he fought with against Gaea was gone. The mistake he made was utterly terrible.

“Do you know where he went?” asked Apollo. Jason shook his head.

“All we know is,” Jason shook his head. This was too hard. He just let his best friend slip away. “He left camp after he came.” No one needed to ask to know who this ‘he’ was. It was obvious. It was the person everyone knew that the son of Poseidon couldn’t stand. The son of Zeus. Alistair. Apollo sighed. There goes another hero.

“He left notes for people,” Frank said quietly. “One for everyone, then a little one for everyone else.”

“Did he…did he leave one for me?” Poseidon questioned. Annabeth looked at him and nodded slightly.

“Just a small one. Just a sentence. ‘Poseidon, look at me now, are you proud of your precious child?’” Poseidon sighed heavily. So that was it. He had lost another son.

Apollo stood up from his throne, looking angrier than ever. He narrowed his eyes on the gods then on the demigods.

“Why do you care?” He hissed.

“What?” Poseidon snapped. “Of course we care!” Apollo looked at him. He was not going to be taking any bull from the gods. He glared up at his father.

“You just called him an abomination, and you-“ Apollo turned sharply on his heel towards Poseidon. “-just called him a brat. You were planning on disowning him for Zeus’ sake! And you can’t lie to me. You can try to lie to those little demigods over there, but I know for a fact what you were planning to do.” Apollo turned back towards the demigods. “You all hated him! You all turned your backs on him for that stupid son of Zeus!” Apollo crossed his arms. He looked towards the line of demigods. The god was ready to give them each a piece of guilt, and he wasn’t going to do a damn thing to feel guilty about it.

“You-“ He nodded his chin at Jason “-that disgrace broke your sword. Stole your dagger, McLean. Rip up those blueprints. Set fire to the Argo II. Turned you against Perseus by bringing up Bianca. Broke your spear. And Alistair told you a lie that Perseus would never do. He would never bother to challenge a daughter of Had—Pluto.”

“Why are you telling us this, brother?” Artemis asked. Apollo turned towards her.

“Why? Do you not believe me?”

“No, I don’t!” Zeus hissed at his son. “That is ridiculous. Now you’re just framing my son.”

“Am I?” Apollo questioned. “Or am I telling the truth—“

The son of Hades gasped in pain. Nico’s knees buckled completely. He coughed as he doubled over. A red liquid sprayed out on Olympus’ floor.

“Nico!” Leo yelled out in surprise. Apollo looked towards the young demigod with wide eyes. As Apollo raced to the demigod’s side, he felt his size shrink.

“Move!” He shouted. The other demigods looked at Nico in concern before moving away as the healing god commanded. Nico turned to pick himself up, only to fall back onto the floor. He whacked his head on the marble ground, the son echoing off of the walls of Olympus. Nico yelped in pain. He clutched his head as the agonizing pain began.

“S-something is wrong,” he choked. “Something is very wrong.”
