Ginny's POV:
The sun's rays beat down on Ginny as she trekked though the forest. It was unbearably hot, but definitely beautiful like Harry said it was. This was the Forest of Dean and Harry had told her to meet her here for some peace and quiet. They needed to get away. Everything was hectic back home because of the clean up due to the damage Voldemort had caused in his thirst for power and eternal life. "Ginny!" Harry called from behind a tree. Her heart leaped and she ran straight into Harry's open arms. He held her tight and kissed the top of her head. She loved it when Harry did that. They sat down by the river and Harry put his arm around her. "It's great, isn't it?" He said. "Very! It's beautiful here!" Ginny exclaimed. "Hermione showed me this place. When we were hunting horcruxes we ran into trouble and this was the first place she thought of. I immediately thought of you and I promised I would take you here some day." Harry smiled and turned to face her. "I feel like saying I love you isn't even enough to describe how much I care for you, yet love is the most powerful word. You're brilliant!" Ginny's eyes began to water. "That's the sweetest way I have ever heard someone say I love you!" And she kissed him.
Harry's POV:
Harry completely forgot the world at that moment. The only thing that mattered was Ginny. The feel of her lips against his, the smell of her freshly washed hair, and the mutual feelings between them. Ginny broke away first and stepped towards the river. She placed her toes against the water and she smiled at him. "The water is great! Care for a swim?" "Of course!" Said Harry, taking her hand. She was right. The water was great! It was the perfect cold temperature to relieve oneself of the blistering heat the Summer had to offer in the Forest of Dean.
Ginny's POV:
The water was cool against her skin. This day seemed perfect. Harry came up behind her and threw his arms around her neck and kissed her cheek. She smiled and turned to kiss him. All the years of waiting had been worth it. She couldn't believe Harry Potter, the boy who lived, loved her. She was just Ginny, nothing extraordinary. Yet Harry made her feel like the luckiest girl alive. She could care less that Harry was the boy who lived though. She loved him for him, not his fame.
"I almost forgot!" Harry exclaimed, pulling away, and swimming to the shore. Ginny followed and he led her to a tree with a backpack in front of it. He rummaged through it and pulled out a beautifully decorated box. "Just kidding, I didn't forget. How could I ever forget!" He chuckled. The box was small, very small. Her heart began to race. Could he possibly do what she thought he was was gonna do? He did. He smiled bigger than she had ever seen him smile before as he got down on one knee. She could feel tears burn in her eyes and she covered her face with her hands to hide her emotion. "Ginevra Weasley, this past year together without the rude interruptions cause by Voldemort... (They both laughed at this) has been the best in my life. Will you do me the honor and let me return that happiness to you for the rest of our lives and marry me?" Ginny was bawling. It was everything she ever dreamed of. She nodded, tears covering her face and Harry let her fall in his arms. She felt him smooth down her hair and kiss the side of her face. She hoped this moment never ended. It was perfect.
