If there is something Kyungsoo wants so much, it's for everything to feel normal. For everything to just fall to their right places.

That's impossible.

You see, Kyungsoo is just a simple man — minus the fact that he's the highest rank of a werewolf-vampire hybrid. All he wants is happiness, and it's everything he needs to be satisfied in his life. In his immortal life.

Being a werewolf-vampire hybrid is hard. Yes, it gives him power, a physical and mental power over others. And yes, that means he's feared because he is too high, and because he's too dangerous.

But that's not it.

He is also rare. In his place, he's the only hybrid alive.

Lucky? Gifted? Well, no.

Being a werewolf-vampire hybrid makes him question everything. It makes the word 'why' become a part of every minute of his days. It makes him stressed.

That little thing in him tells him there's still something missing, out of all things he has, out of all things he knows. But this time, he doesn't have the courage to ask himself why. He doesn't have the courage to ask himself what that is.

It makes him crazy how he can control people, force them to follow, but he can't even control himself. He doesn't even know himself.

He doesn't even understand himself.

That's what makes being a werewolf-vampire hybrid so hard. It gives you power over others, but it's easy to lose power over yourself.

Kyungsoo's day is composed of sitting in his house alone, thinking about things too much, hunting, eating, then repeat.

It's boring that way. He wants something else. He wants to waste time with a different thing in mind other than questioning his own existence. He wants something that will make him feel normal, something that might keep his feet on the ground. Something..

Or someone..

"This is Sehun. He's an omega. And this is Jongdae, also an omega. He's mated with Minseok as all of you know," Junmyeon says as he gestures to the members he's referring to.

"So there are two new union members. Both are werewolves. And both omegas.." Kyungsoo says in a monotone voice, eyes showing no concern at all but deep inside he feels an empty sensation in his heart at the mention of the word 'mated'.  "Okay, then the meeting is done now, right? No more other plans or announcements?" he continues as he successfully hides his emotions.

Junmyeon looks up at him and smiles fakely. "If.. you don't have concern on the things happening here.. then why are you still not leaving the group?" Junmyeon asks, making Kyungsoo glare with bright red eyes at him.

"What did you say?" Kyungsoo snaps as he stands up, fists on the table and the omega named Jongdae almost stands as well, but Minseok holds him down with his hand.

It makes something ring in Kyungsoo's head as he smells the mated couple's combined scent vividly, and the cozy atmosphere of them together.

"You," Kyungsoo directs his index finger to Jongdae. "What do you want?"

Minseok holds Jongdae's hand tight to calm him down, and Jongdae silently leans into the alpha to smell his scent and bask in the feeling of safety it gives him.

"It's nothing. Jongdae is just.. not feeling well," Minseok covers Jongdae up, making the latter mewl and whine under his breath.

It only angers Kyungsoo more.
