Baekhyun stares blankly at his blood dripping down the floor, a tired expression painting his features as tears fall down from his eyes continuously.

Baekhyun clenches his fist and screws his eyes shut, bringing the small silver blade close to his skin once again and slicing it through his flesh, a distinctive burn that still can't equal the pain in his heart.

"Channie.." Baekhyun whispers shakily and injures himself again. "Channie, I love you.."

Baekhyun hears the door to his bedroom open but he remains unbothered, even as he hears Jongin's shout of panic.

"Hyung! Hyung, what are you doing?!" Jongin exclaims as he rushes to Baekhyun and grabs his right hand which holds the silver blade, but Baekhyun only yanks himself off of Jongin's hold and snaps his gaze to Jongin.

"Leave me alone," Baekhyun says angrily. "Just let me be. Get out," he mutters and gets back to what he was doing earlier.

Nothing hurts more than the pain of Chanyeol leaving.

"Hyung!" Jongin exclaims and grabs Baekhyun's forearm again, but Baekhyun snarls and uses the same hand to push Jongin by his chest.

It has happened so fast that Baekhyun doesn't realize he has used the blade on Jongin accidentally, and yet a whimper of pain from the vampire makes Kyungsoo appear in Baekhyun's room in no time.

"What happened?"

Jongin looks up at Kyungsoo with a surprised gaze, before he looks back down while still clutching his wounded chest. "I-I'm okay, Master.."

"What did you do, Baekhyun?" Kyungsoo questions as he crouches infront of Jongin and grabs Jongin's hands, taking it away from the vampire's chest to examine the wound. "You're not okay.."

"Baekhyun hyung.." Jongin trails off as he glances at the said hybrid. "Please stop hurting yourself.." he says as tears fill his eyes.

"I'm sorry.." Baekhyun whispers between shallow breaths. "It just hurts too much.."

Kyungsoo looks down and closes his eyes in frustration. "I thought I told you to not do that anymore.." he says and flickers his gaze up at Baekhyun. "Stop it.. The pain is not worth it, Baekhyun.."

"You won't understand because you don't know love," Baekhyun replies and stands up.

"That's why love's not worth it, too," Kyungsoo says as he stares at practically nothing. "Because you only get hurt and get hurt, pain after pain after pain. You give everything but it won't mean you'll be happy in the end. That.. is why I don't want to love, Baekhyun.."

Baekhyun pauses on his way to climbing up his bed, and looks back at Kyungsoo with a slight frown. "Pointless. With who you are, no one will even think of loving you. But why would it mean anything? You're heartless, right? Mind over heart, isn't it?" he asks without any emotion and turns away to lay on the mattress.

Jongin swears he has saw Kyungsoo's eyes glisten with tears after hearing that, but then Kyungsoo quickly looks away so Jongin can't be so sure.

"Jongin, let's go heal you," Kyungsoo says briefly and grabs Jongin's hands before getting up. Jongin averts his gaze from the floor to Kyungsoo, making Kyungsoo turn away.
