Kyungsoo should have bitten Baekhyun by now and sucked the blood and life out of the human but he surprisingly isn't able to.

He's only watching the restrained boy cry his hearts out and mumble things.

"Lies. All Chanyeol did was lie to me," he says as he sobs, looking down and letting more tears fall.

Kyungsoo furrows his eyebrows as, for the first time, he felt sympathy.

Kyungsoo is the son of a born vampire and a female werewolf, and when he was born, his mother died. It made his father so angry at him that he almost cut his own son's head off right then and there, for revenge.

All his life, he was threatened and in danger even by his own father. But luckily, Kyungsoo was much stronger than him because he's a hybrid, so when his father tries to kill him, he can fight with his strength.

And yet his father's death was because his father protected him from hybrid hunters. That's the time he realized his father actually still has something for him.

Then he kept a note to himself to pay back to the lives of his parents sacrificed for his sake.

That's why Kyungsoo had to be tough and strong for himself, and be an independent. It might have been the reason he still doesn't know how to trust people now.

He doesn't want to get hurt ever again.

That's why when he sees Baekhyun like this, he makes the human look in his eyes and he reads all the memories that are making Baekhyun like this.

He realizes Baekhyun's virtue of fighting for what he believes, for what he wants, no matter what. And so he makes the decision he has never done.

"Let me help you, human," Kyungsoo says as he looks straight into Baekhyun's dark brown eyes with his crimson ones. "And a 'no' can't be an answer."

"W-What do y-you.. mean—" Baekhyun asks as he tries to keep eye contact with the hybrid even if he's drowning in fear inside. Baekhyun gulps loudly as Kyungsoo scrapes his sharp teeth against the soft, milky skin of Baekhyun's neck.

"I will make you forget, that pain inside you," Kyungsoo says, and without a warning he bites down on a specific area of Baekhyun's throat, using the second venom that would turn a human to a potential future hybrid.

Baekhyun keens and arches his back at the sudden pain, but the hybrid's presence surprisingly calms him down and he tries to breathe, but he feels his heartbeat starting to fade down, and his eyes flutter shut as the flashback of everything that happened to him appears in his mind, making him cry out and whimper.

Kyungsoo takes in a lot of blood from the human by instinct but he then gathers a lot of control and tries so hard to remove his fangs from him before his future hybrid dies.

Kyungsoo lets go of Baekhyun's arms and offers his wrist for Baekhyun to bite.

Baekhyun hesitates at first, looking warily at Kyungsoo with half-lidded eyes, but something rings in him and he eagerly bites hard into Kyungsoo's wrist in hunger and thirst, pulling away for a moment to gasp before drinking again.

Kyungsoo groans as he closes his eyes tightly, because this is the first time he has offered his blood to someone.

After all of it, Baekhyun passes out and Kyungsoo quickly catches him in his arms. He carries Baekhyun in his arms, the human's feet dangling at one side and Kyungsoo pulls the human to his chest, so the human's body wouldn't give up being a hybrid and suddenly die.
