Baekhyun sighs deeply as he takes out his phone from his pocket with his lips pressed tightly to each other.

He leans against his bed's headboard and unlocks his phone before going straight to his gallery.

Tears gather at Baekhyun's eyes without him knowing while he scrolls through the pictures slowly. He fists his shorts while watching the videos, the selcas, the love he thought was real.

He wipes his tears with his fingers before he sets his phone down the bedside table as he lays down and sobs into the pillow while clutching it close to himself.

"Channie, it hurts so much.." he mumbles as he closes his eyes and cries quietly.

"Kyungsoo, what's that?" Baekhyun inquires as he leans into the papers Kyungsoo are signing, but Kyungsoo quickly takes them away from sight.

"It's none of your business, Baekhyun."

"That seems important.." Baekhyun remarks as he leans back on his chair. "May I know what those are?"

"Yes, they're really important. And no, I won't tell you."

"How important then?" Baekhyun prods as he smiles sheepishly.

Kyungsoo purses his lips and looks at Baekhyun intently, a hint of irritation in his gaze. "I'm in charge of keeping the union from danger by keeping the strict discretion of its members. What I'm assigned to do for the union.. is something I don't want the other union members to know, because they don't need to. Only Junmyeon knows about this since he's the one who assigned it to me. So keep your mouth shut, okay?"

Baekhyun frowns and leans in in curiousity. "Why don't you want the other members to know?"

"It's okay if they only see me as a hybrid who doesn't care about anything that happens to the union, to the members and what's its current situation is. It's okay like that. I don't have to tell them what I do."

Baekhyun looks down and frowns. "But they would think wrongly of you, right? You.. You're protecting them all—"

"And they don't need to know that," Kyungsoo repeats with emphasis. "Okay?" Kyungsoo firmly says.

Baekhyun nods slowly and stands up. "I-I'm.. gonna.. study the natural werewolf rules now then.."

Kyungsoo hums without looking at Baekhyun and goes to his computer this time.

"W-What's this..?" Baekhyun asks as he stares at the two glasses of blood infront of him.

"Peace offering..?" Kyungsoo asks with the same questioning tone as he sits beside Baekhyun on the bed. "I think I made you upset last time.."

Baekhyun looks at Kyungsoo in amusement and a smile paints his features as he hugs Kyungsoo without ado.

"Hey! I.. You hug so suddenly," Kyungsoo trails off as he tentatively hugs back. "You should know I'm not into these corny things you seem to like.."

"You would be corny, too.. if you fall in love, Kyungsoo.." Baekhyun mutters, making Kyungsoo laugh dryly and break the hug.

"I don't do love," Kyungsoo says and shakes his head to himself. "Love is not worth the pain, you know.."

Baekhyun blinks down and wonders why, but doesn't push to ask it.

"Thank you, by the way!" Baekhyun only says cheerfully and inches forward to drink the crimson liquid from one of the wine glasses, and after that he groans with a wince. "It still tastes a bit weird to me," he remarks and giggles. "I'll get used to it soon.."

"You have to focus on your target, yes, but being keen enough is important," Kyungsoo says to Baekhyun who's already baring his fangs.

But the presence of a certain vampire makes them both stop and turn.

"Hyung, who's that?" Baekhyun asks as he steps closer and sniffs the air to smell the faint flowery scent, the particular aura of the scent making Baekhyun think of something Kyungsoo said. "Is he an omega, hyung?"

The vampire, Junmyeon, who's carrying an unknown guy in his arms nods.

"He smells nice.." Baekhyun says, but he's surprised when Junmyeon's eyes glow crimson and he bares his fangs with a warning glare.

"He's mine," Junmyeon firmly says as he narrows his eyes at Baekhyun. "You get that?"

Baekhyun steps back even before he's able to see the omega's face. He then watches as Junmyeon carries the omega inside his own house.

"Is he going to imprison the omega after kidnapping him?" Baekhyun asks as a joke, making Kyungsoo roll his eyes. "Seriously, who was that?"

"I heard it's something like 'Weng Huishing' but I'm not sure of it."

"Weng Huishing.." Baekhyun echoes, tilting his head and furrowing his eyebrows.

It has already been a few days after that hunting lesson and that incident with Junmyeon, and today Kyungsoo is assessing how serious Baekhyun is in joining the union.

"There are 3 ranks: Alpha, Beta, Omega wherein Alpha is the highest rank and Omega is the lowest. But, omegas are just as important as alphas are because they're the ones who would give birth to strong offsprings," Baekhyun carefully says.

Kyungsoo nods in agreement, proudness clear in his face even if he may be trying to hide it. "Back to natural werewolf rules. Tell me about the expected behavior of omegas to their mates."

Baekhyun straightens up and chews on his lips. "Uh, omegas should respect the others of higher rank.. They are most likely mated to alphas. Omegas are expected to be submissive to their mates and expected to please the alpha in every way possible. They should obey what their mates tell them. It's what their instincts tell them though so it's something omegas naturally do. They are also considered their mate's greatest treasure."

"Do you think so?" Kyungsoo questions, and it makes Baekhyun stiffen, wondering if he said something wrong. "If you're born as an omega werewolf, would that behavior describe who you are?"

Baekhyun, even if surprised by the question, manages to shake his head 'no' quickly. "That's not who I am, Kyungsoo. But if I'm born an omega, I would be another person then.. I wouldn't experience everything I experienced in my life right now, and that means I would completely be someone else. If I'm born as an omega, then I might be exactly, if not close to, those expected behaviors, but that's another life and person that I didn't become, with a reason."

"Okay, we'll introduce you tomorrow to the union. But there would be two other announcements, one Junmyeon's and one Minseok's. Is that okay with you?"

"I'm fine.. Ah.. I'm so excited to meet them.." Baekhyun mutters looks at the walls dreamily.

Kyungsoo, again, can't help but smile.
