A very Clovely story

Chapter 21: My new home

I wake up to the sound of Enobaria and Brutus laughing. I look at them "What happened?", I ask. They keep on laughing and they leave to eat breakfast. I get up, brush my hair and go the shower. I look in the mirror and my eyes widen. They used permanent marker to write all over my face. I get in the shower and scrub my face. The water becomes black from the marker. I laugh at this. They are so much fun to be around. I use the same dress I used at the Reaping. I get out of the shower and go eat breakfast. Cato is in his reaping clothes too. He smiles and I smile back. "We will be arriving at the Capitol at 9 am.", says Enobaria. She looks at me and then Brutus and they laugh "hahaha, very funny",  I say sarcasticly. They laugh a lot more. "Oh, almost forgot!", says Enobaria taking out a medicine "You have to drink this so your eyes will go back to your original color" I drink it. My eyes go back to the dark brown shade, not the one my stylists gave me. Cato drinks it too and his dark blue eyes turn to the lightblue color of the sky again. I smile at this. He looks exactly how he did 3 weeks ago, in the train going to the Capitol. I see my D2. I run to the window and see the huge celebration. Food, decorations, wine, everything. Everyone is gathered in the square. They cheer when they see me and Cato and we wave at them. I see Monica, with tears in her eyes, looking at me. I smile. When we get out of the train, I run towards her. I hug her and she hugs me "I though I would never see you again Clovie!", she says crying "Well here you have me, safe and sound" I give her a kiss in the cheek and I see Cato hugging his bestfriend Denzel. Denzel has the blackest eyes and and brown hair. He is very much like Cato in personality and body shape. They are both very muscular and handsome. But I love Cato. Denzel looks at me and opens his arms. I dont hesitate to go into his arms. Denzel is one of my bestfriends too "Good job Clove", he says laughing and crying at the same time. I dont say anything, just hug him. He kisses me on the head like he always does. We've been friends since kindergarten. I love him as a friend, plus, he likes Monica and I think they are going out now. I turn around and see Rose. My ten year old sister. I open my arms and she jumps into them. I swing her around and kiss her. "I missed you Clove!", she says laughing "I missed you too!", I say smiling. I see my mother. She comes up to me with a blank expression "Finally we will be rich thanks to you, idiot". I am mad. SO mad. "Rose and I are rich, you will not put one foot on my house. You never supported me in any way. You always made me feel like I wasnt worth it, you made me feel like no one would ever love me. So no, I am not giving you anything.", I say. She raises her hand and slaps me. The peacekeepers see this and take her away. I never saw my mom ever again.

Cato runs up to me with a pack of ice and covers the red mark my mom left. "Dont worry Clove. She will never bother you again. I promise" I smile at this. There is a huge welcoming party and we eat and laugh and play games. Everybody is invited to this party. I see the poor people eating and I feel so happy. I get up in the stage and give my speech. "Thank you, all of you, who supported me in this time of my life, who sponsored me and who cared about me. For those who cheered at my small achievements in the games, and who cried for my wounds and mistakes. But most of all, thank you, to those of you who didnt see me as the girl with the knives, but saw me as Clove." The audience cheers and claps. Then it is Cato's turn. "Thank you. You know, when I volunteered, I did it to protect Clove. She is the love of my life. I love her for who she is, and thanks for your support. Thank you for everything" The audience cheers and claps too. The party ends, and it is 5pm and the sun is still up. The peacekeepers clean everything up and I run with Cato. We go under the fence and into the woods. We get to the stream and Cato takes his shirt off and jumps into it. "Come on Clove! Get in here", he says flipping his wet hair "I dont have a swimming suit Cato!", I say sitting on a rock "Well then just come in here with your clothes on", he shouts. I smile and jump with my clothes on. I swim over to him and I throw water on him. He does the same thing. We do this a couple of this and then he swims towards me. "You know, I never asked you to be my girlfriend. Do you want to be my girlfriend, Clove?", he says smiling and laughing "Yes, I will be your girlfriend, Cato!", I say as I kiss him.  We get out of the water and Cato dries me with his shirt. We eat some berries we found and we go back to the city. "Cato, I need to go to my old house to get some things", I say "Ok, I will go with you" We walk to my house and I kiss him. I love him.
