"Bu-but, um, uh..." I stuttered. " I'm MGK. You can call me Colson though." He walked towards me holding out a hand. I simply raised an eyebrow, looking from his hand to his face repeatedly. I could tell he was becoming confused.

"I'm Riley. Riley Dimitrova? My dad owns the limo service you're looking for." I told him, taking control of the situation. I certainly wasn't starstruck by this hot shot rapper. He slowly brought his hand back to his side.

"Right. Well do you know where he is? I need a ride pronto." He eyed my swim wear, a grin on his face. "Nice." He smirked. I grabbed my towel and covered myself before standing up.

"I'm sorry, uh, Mr. MGK, but he isn't here." He sighed, adjusting his Cleveland snapback . "Okay then. It was cool meeting you, uh, Miss Dimitrova." He turned away, walking to the gate. He hesitated before reaching for the handle. Great. The guilt trip. I groaned inwardly.

"Wait. If you'd like, I could give you a ride in my Dad's pick up truck."

"Awesome." He went into the house, leaving me behind. "Let me just put something on real quick." I told him while rushing to my room. "It's okay I'm suddenly not in a hurry." I heard him call before I closed the door.

I slipped on a pair of shorts and my Red Hot Chili Peppers vintage tee over my bikini. I walked into the kitchen, my flip flops slapping against the tile. "Colson" sat at the island with a glass of apple juice in one hand. He obviously had went through the fridge while I was gone. He slurped the rest down when I came in.

I laughed at his innocent expression. "Help yourself." I giggled. Grabbing the keys, I locked up the house and unlocked the truck. I hoisted myself into the drivers seat, Colson getting in on the passengers side. I started the car.

"Don't forget your seatbelt." He said, gesturing to my empty buckle. I slipped the belt around my body, rolling my eyes. "When did you become my mom?" I muttered. He smirked. "So where exactly am I taking you?" I asked. "Well, as soon as you back out, take a left and then go straight to the Davey Mills recording studio. I'm already late for my session." I nodded, but before I could get out of the driveway, a group of paparazzi suddenly surrounded the vehicle.

"Machine Gun Kelly! Is that you?" One man asked, pushing his camera lens against the glass. I blocked my face from the flash. "MGK are you visiting your new girlfriend? I thought you couldn't be tied down!" Another said. Colson groaned. "Back out slowly. Once the truck starts moving, they'll go away." He grumbled. He buried his face in his hands as I did what I was told.

The paparazzi got the messgae and scattered, but not before take a few more pictures of Colson and I in my father's rusty truck.

We drove in silence. I cleared my throat. "Sorry about that. I hope um, I didn't ruin your 'Bad Boy' rep." He chuckled. "It's ight. By next week this crap will be history. Can't make rumors about a girlfriend I don't have." He shrugged.

I turned the radio up, just to be greeted by the song "Glad You Came". I almost squealed. "You like this kind of music?." His eyebrows shot up. I could feel my face getting hot. "It's good." I said guiltily.

"Nah, that isn't music." He turned the stations, finding an old DMX song. "Now this is is the shit." He nodded his head. I had to admit, it was pretty good. I nodded my head along with him. Colson took notice of my shirt.

"You like the Red Hot Chili Peppers? Now that's hot." He smirked. I raised an eyebrow questioningly, but said nothing. He listened to stuff like that? We rode in a comfortable silence as I played my Adele CD, singing to Someone Like You. The song was over as soon as we reached the studio. "Thanks for the ride. And your singing? Not bad, Riley. Not bad at all." He told me before getting out of the truck and entering the building, leaving me with my jaw resting in my lap.

My ringtone snapped me out of my daze. The caller ID read "Dad". "Honey where are you?" He asked as soon as I answered the phone. "Sorry Dad. An, um, client of yours needed a ride to the studio and you weren't there." I explained. "It's okay. I was just worried when I saw the truck gone."

"Since I got off of work early I want to teach you a Malibu past time." I could hear the smile in his voice. "And what's that?" I asked, putting the car in drive. "Surfing, of course!" Was all he said before hanging up. Surfing? I envisioned myself falling flat on my face in front of super-tanned California guys. My kind of day. Before I knew it I had made it back to the condo.

I unlocked the front door, running into my dad wearing a wetsuit. He held a smaller one in his hand. "Slip that on and we'll head to the beach!" He exclaimed while tossing it to me. It was pink and black. Cute wetsuits? Maybe surfing wasn't so bad after all.

"No no! Paddle! Don't try to stand just yet!" Dad yelled over the crashing waves. I stood anyway, falling straight into the water as I hit a wave wrong. I cursed as I dragged myself onto the sandy beach.

"Watch me!" Dad said while paddling out. I sat on the sand, wringing my hair out. I slipped out of my suit as a body settled right next to me. I looked over at the lean muscled surfer's body beside me. "I saw you take that hit earlier, Riley. Gotta say, I'm not impressed." He said while trying to find a comfortable position in the sand. His eyes met mine, sending a spark of recognition. "Dex?" I said, grinning ear to ear.

Dex was Daphney's brother. I hadn't seen him in a while. He left for college two years ago. But not much had changed. He was still gorgeous. I felt the urge to sigh. "How's Daphney? Your Mom?" I questioned, trying to adjust my bikini discretely. He chuckled. "They are fine. Just a couple miles away with my Grandma." He reassured me.

I nodded. "So, why are you here?" I hoped I didn't sound to rude. But he didn't seem to mind. "I just wanted to catch some waves, see if I had it still in me. I haven't been here since I was fourteen, and clearly it shows."

"Same. The surfing part. My dad wanted to teach me. I'm not doing such a great job though." I laughed. "Daphney told me that you would be in town, but I never would have thought you'd be here." He said. I smacked his arm. "What are you trying to say?"

"I'm trying to say, 'You seem like you've been having a tough time. Want to go get a coffee or something and catch up?" He held a hopeful look on his chiseled features.

"Dex are you trying to ask me out?" I asked, feigning surprise. Truth was, I had always known he had had a crush on me since we were kids. It made no sense. This guy could get any girl he pleased.

I looked over, seeing my dad emerge from a wave. He headed for the shore. "I'm sorry, but unfortunately I gotta go." I nodded my head in my father's direction. "But I'll definetely be seeing you around." I leaned in for a hug, hoping I didn't smell fishy.

I got up, walking to my dad. "Did you enjoy surfing?" Dad asked, drying himself off. "Uh, yeah it was awesome." I said halfheartedly. My dad chuckled. "Surfing isn't your thing, I get it. I saw you with Daphney's brother, Dex, though." I gulped, hoping my Dad's famous "talk" wasn't needed in this situation.

"He's a pretty good kid. He's going places. Unlike that boy Greg." He continued. I groaned. "Dad I was in the eighth grade!" I said. He was referring to my first boyfriend. Greg had wanted to be a professional skateboarder but couldn't even ride the board to the end of the block. "Sure Hun." He sarcastically responded.

He tossed me the keys. "You can take the truck back home if you'd like. I'm gonna to stick around and catch a few more waves." He nodded towards the makeshift parking lot where everyone's cars were nestled into the sand.

"If you say so." I said, already backing away. He went back to the ocean, seeing a huge wave that was "too big to miss". All I saw was water. My cell phone was buzzing like crazy when I reached the truck. I unlocked it, seeing I had several missed calls from my mom and... Callie? I opened one of her text messages.

Bad News Babe!!! Pick up the fone!

I gulped, not liking where this was going.
