The past few days had gone by quickly. The studio recording had went great. I showed Davey my song book. I actually got to record one of my original songs. I didn't know whether or not it would go public, but just playing it in the studio was amazing. But I had bigger things on my mind.

 Today was my birthday.

Colson and the guys wanted to treat me to an awesome day, so they picked me up earlier this morning. Daphney couldn't make it. She was taking care of her grandmother, but she and Callie called to wish me a happy birthday.

"Can I have some of your fries Riley?" Slim asked. He took a handful, not waiting for an answer. I swatted his hand away, taking one of my fries from him. We were eating at Burger King. "These are the best burgers eveeeeer," Colson blabbered. He had a mouth full of the Double Whopper he had ordered.

I sipped my shake, trying not to laugh. The rest of the guys tried not to chuckle as well, and ignored the ketchup on Colson's face. I handed him a napkin. He kissed me sloppily on my cheek with his burger lips.

"What? Is there something on my mouth?" He smirked, wiping his face. I removed the greasy residue on my cheek as everyone laughed. "Haha. Laugh it up," I muttered. We had already been to the mall, the movies, and to the skate park. Colson tried to teach me how to skateboard, but I failed miserably.

"I bet you are having the best birthday ever, huh?" Dre asked. I gave a sarcastic nod. "One of the best." It really was, though. These guys were really fun to hang with, and overall this was a pretty decent way to spend my eighteenth birthday.

I didn't feel any different becoming an adult. I was the same person I was yesterday. I think. Yeah, pretty much. My parents almost didn't let me leave the house. They were so sad that I was finally grown up. Thst's what happens when you are the only child.

We all threw away our empty wrappers and made our way to the rental car they had gotten this morning. They didn't want to ride around in the tour bus and draw suspision to themselves. The huge "Lace Up" logo was very noticeable, being printed on both sides.

"Okay, let's get you home. It's almost eight." Colson said respectfully. My parents wanted me home by then, because they were busy all day and wouldn't be there until nine.

We piled into the car and before I knew it, we were parked in front of my house. "Can we come in with you and hang?" Xplosive asked me. I nodded. "I don't see anything wrong with that." I told him. I hated staying home alone, so their goofy personalities would be perfect to be around until Mom and Dad got home.

The house was dark. I unlocked the door, turning on the closest light.

"SURPRISEEEEE!" People jumped out of their hiding spots around the house, scaring me to death. It seemed like everyone was here, right in my living room. "Happy Birthday" banners and streamers decorated the place nicely.

I saw Mom and Dad standing next to each other in the kitchen. They grinned at me. Daphney and her family stood around the couch, including Dex. He gave me a sheepish look before mouthing "happy birthday". Ashleigh, Davey, and friends from the studio were among the small crowd. And standing right in front was Callie.

 Wait, Callie!?

I rushed to her side. We squealed and hugged for quite awhile, not being able to form words. Music was turned on and everyone began to mingle. Most people made their way towards the food. "Callie! What the heck are you doing here?" I finally managed to ask as we seperated. "Colson flew me in this morning! We've been planning this for a few days now." She admitted.
