CLARY POV
I got to the cove in exactly one minute. I saw Maia at the bottom of the moon pool, the current must've drowned her. I grab her arms. I look up at the moon, only to see it gone. She's turned. I sigh and grab her by her arms. I then quickly swim back home. I'm home in about a minute. I then put maia on the sand gently. She coughs out some water but she doesn't wake up. I dry myself and turn back into a human. I was still wearing what I was wearing when I left to get Maia. Black converse, a hooded tank top and pink high waisted jean shorts.

MAIA POV
I wake up to the sound of seagulls and crashing waves. I cough up some water and look up. I see Clary sitting next to me. I sit up. "What happened?"
"You drowned in Secrets Cove," She says.
       "I swam you back here,"
"You swam? It takes you an hour and a half to get to Secrets Cove by boat!" I say.
         "That's Because I'm a mermaid," Clary explains.
"I think I'm leaving now!" I say as I stand up and grab my shoes. She grabs my wrist.
"Maia, something happened in the cove's pool," She says.
"Let go of me" I say sternly.
"No, Listen to me Maia,"
"Let. Go. Of. Me," i say angrily. Before I can pull my arm away. She pulls me into the water. I then pull myself free and stumble back. "What is wrong with you! I-," I get caught off by feeling myself turn into something, like a liquid, water. I then turn back into myself. I wobbled a little and then fall on my butt. I look down and see an orange tail.

I was a mermaid. I scream in horror. "Now, dear, do you really want to alert the whole neighborhood that you're half fish?" A woman that was in the house next to us says. "My name is Melody," Melody says.
"Why is her tail different?" Clary asks Melody.
"She's a saltwater mermaid, and she was made in a different moon pool," Melody explains.

~*~*~*~*~*~*
After being explained twelve times about mermaids, and how to control things, I calmed down a bit apparently the difference between salt water and sweet water mermaids is the fact that when Salt water mermaids touch sweet water, they get to decide if they want to change into a mermaid, and vise versa, but when a mermaid is a salt water and a sweet water, they change no matter what, which pissed off Clary a lot. And now we were at her house, we were watching movies. I guess from now on we're going to have to stick together. Finally, it's time for me to go home. But before I Can Clary grabs my arm. "Take care of your necklace, even though it will always come back to you, don't lose it.
I smile and nod, I look down at the orange necklace that glowed. Beautiful, just like this Secret.
