Chapter 3
Betty POV:
Now that you've been caught up on my life story, the story begins now. It was another usual Monday morning were I made breakfast, called out for Fp to get up, he got up and kissed me on the cheek and we ate breakfast together until Sweet Pea came to walk me to school. We walked into school and saw Toni and Fangs in the student lounge.

Betty: hey T and Fangs.
Toni: Hey B and Sweets. We all catch up for a little while until we go to our first class, which I have with none of them. I walked to class and sat down in my usual spot at the back. I never really payed attention in class as I was always thinking about other things i had on my mind, it doesn't really matter though. I learnt all this stuff before I came to the South Side and I always have my home work done, I'm ahead of the class. The education system here is terrible. First period was done and now I was walking to math, which the four of us had together. Me and Sweet Pea were talking and laughing the whole time, apart from when the teacher was yelling at us. The day continued to go slowly until we finally made it to lunch.

Sweet Pea: did you hear this hell hole is getting closed down.
Fangs: Wahoo
Toni: wait what?
Betty: where are we going? I asked worriedly.
Sweet Pea: we're going to Riverdale high. I can't wait to cause trouble.
Betty: wait! I actually have to go back there?
Fangs: don't worry Betts, we'll have your back. Everyone nods
Betty: I haven't been there in ages, I kinda just left out of know where and become a Serpent.
Sweet Pea: That will be a surprise to them he says laughing. The bell go's signally that lunch has ended.

Me and Sweet Pea go to Toni and Fangs lockers first as we all have the same class next, then we head to mine and Sweet Pea's lockers when a familiar voice calls my name... Malachi.

Malachi: well, well, well. Look who we have here. The infamous Betty Cooper. Looking gorgeous as always. Malachi is the leader of the Ghoulies, the Serpents rival gang.
Betty: your looking ugly as usual I say causing Toni, Fangs and Sweet Pea to laugh.
Malachi: I'm hurt by your words he says sarcastically.
Malachi: You should ditch The Serpents and go to the Ghoulies. You'd look so hot in one of our jackets, or even mine he says with a wink.
Betty: I'd rather not wear trash thank you. My friends just watch us with amusement.
Malachi: it's really hot when you act all sassy towards me. I could take you right now. I walk towards him and bite my lips, he then begins to smirk. I walk closer to him and whisper into his ear "why don't you?". He just stands there in shock. I take a step back and say "I'm waiting" He looks at the others and then walks away.
Toni: ooof B. You scared me for a second. We all laugh.
Betty: I new he wouldn't have the guts to try anything on me. He's all talk no game. We all laugh as we head to class.

The class went fast and it was finally the end of the day. I decided to head straight home as I had loads of home work that day and I wasn't needed by the Serpents. Fp is still the leader and will be until the end of the month. It takes a while to appoint a new leader not to mention that I have to go through the initiation so they can make sure I'm up for it. I walk home and I shortly arrive to see a young man, around my age sitting on the couch next to Fp. As I walk in I'm greeted by Fp.

Fp: hey Betty. I didn't expect you to be here this early. He says with a tint of nervousness in his voice.
Betty: I wasn't needed at the Wyrm so I decided to come home. I can leave if you want.
Fp: no, no it's fine. He says looking at the dark haired boy beside him who was just sitting there awkwardly.
Betty: it's fine, I was going to hang with Sweet Pea Anyway. I'll see you tomorrow.
Fp: ok bye Betty. He says as I close the door.

I then call Sweet Pea to make sure I could stay at his tonight. He said it was fine and that I could stay the night. I walk to his house and knock on the door three times until I'm greeted by his Mother.

Cynthia: Hello Betty.
Betty: Hi ma'am, thank you for letting me stay the night I say as she opens the door for me
Cynthia: Please, call me Cynthia and it's no problem at all having you over. Sweety is in his room. I thank her again and walk up to his room.
Betty: hey Sweety I giggle.
Sweet Pea: never call me that again. I just laugh at him.
Sweet Pea: not that I don't love your company but why did you last minute decide to stay the night?
Betty: Well I went home and there was some random guy about our age talking to Fp. It looked serious or something. Fp even seemed nervous.
Sweet Pea: what did he look like? He asked me.
Betty: I wasn't really paying attention that much but he was wearing a grey beanie and had dark hair. Sweet Pea's eyes widened.
Sweet Pea: I think that might be his son.
Betty: Fp hasn't really ever mentioned him, all I know is his name is Jughead and he lives in Toledo with his mum.
Sweet Pea: that's all I know as well, we'll find out if it's him soon. Anyway what do you what to do?
Betty: I was originally going to do homework but seeing as I'm with you there is no way that's going to happen so want to head to Pop's?
Sweet Pea: you can't get enough of me can you Cooper? He says with a grin.
Betty: You wish Sweety. I say making him glare towards me. We get on his bike and head to the North Side. Pop's is one of the only places on the North Side South Siders can go without getting judged.

We arrive at Pop's and walk into the small yet charming diner. We walk up to Pop and say a brief hello before we place our orders.
Pop: hello Betty. I haven't seen you in a while. He says with a smile.
Betty: yeah I've been busy on the South Side.
Pop: what can I get you two he says. Sweet Pea places his order and then I place mine.
Pop: still the same as when you were younger. We both laugh. Me and Sweet Pea find a booth and begin to talk while we wait for our food.
Betty: you excited for tomorrow?
Sweet Pea: not really, North Siders are annoying and fake. He says rolling his eyes.
Betty: Hey! I use to be a North Sider.
Sweet Pea: yeah but your different. He says with a smile.
Betty: Yeah your right. I mean I'm smart, funny, caring, strong, talented, amazin- I then get cut off by Sweet Pea.
Sweet Pea: if you don't shut up I will shove this burger in your mouth. We both burst out laughing.

We continue to eat our meals until I hear a familiar voice call my name. It was Archie. I haven't spoken to him in three years. He approach's us, I smile and Sweet Pea just looks confused.

Archie: Betty?
Betty: hey Arch I say hugging him.
Archie: where have you been? I was so worried when you just left, so was Cheryl, Reggie, Veronica and Kevin.
Betty: I'm kinda a Serpent now.
Archie: woah
Betty: don't be mad.
Archie: I'm not mad, I'm surprised. To me you will always be the little who started crying and screaming when you saw a tiny spider. I hear Sweet Pea burst out laughing.
Betty: Shut it Pea. He just continued to laugh.
Archie: are you moving to Riverdale High?
Betty: yeah, your going to be stuck with me for a while. We both laugh.
Archie: I've got to go but my dad misses you.
Betty: I miss him too. I'll make sure to catch up with everyone. See ya tomorrow. I say as I wave to Archie.
Sweet Pea: tomorrow is going to be a long day he says and we both laugh.

We head back to his house house and play video games for a while, I obviously won which made Sweet Pea angry. We then headed to sleep so we would be prepared for tomorrow. I wonder what people will think now that I'm a Serpent. I was this good girl with straight A's to a Serpent on the South Side, someone that they would all fear. I hope everything will go well tomorrow.
