Chapter 4
Jughead POV:Things in Toledo with my mother weren't working out so well. Me and my mum would always be fighting and having arguments about the stupidest things. I decided that it was time I move back to Riverdale. I packed all my stuff and caught a bus. I was planning on staying with my dad, if he didn't want me there I brought some money for a hotel in case.
It had been about 7 hours and I had arrived at my old home. I knock on the door and I am greeted by my dad who is in shock to say the least. I mean I would be too, your son who left five years ago randomly showing up on your doorstep.
Fp: Jughead? He asked in case he was seeing things.
Jughead: Yep, it's me I say with a smile. He pulls me in for a hug which I gladly embrace.
Fp: I didn't think I would see you again. How come your in Riverdale? He asked.
Jughead: things with mum haven't been working out well. I was wondering if I could maybe stay here?
Fp: of course. I would love that. He says with a smile. He opens the door fully and invited me in. I walk in and sit on the couch. The place looked a lot better since I was last here.
Jughead: it's changed a lot since I was last here.My dad use to be a alcoholic. When I was younger I remember every night he would come home drunk and angry. He was never physical but every night he would yell at my mum until he fell asleep. My mother had finally had enough and took me and Jellybean and left.
Fp: Yeah, I had quit drinking, In some way I got a new roommate and she really helped me.
As he finishes his sentence a blonde haired girl walks in. The room filled with awkward tension and she sensed it too. She politely offered to leave and excused herself.
Jughead: who's she? A daughter or wife I don't know about. We both laugh.
Fp: more like a daughter.
Jughead: wait what? I scream out.
Fp: chill out. I don't mean by blood. But she lives with me and is a Serpent. She helped me get my act together and quit drinking.
Jughead: She doesn't really look like the Serpent type. I say. She had the look but she seemed to nice.
Fp: say that to her face and she will give you a mean punch, not to mention how she is highly respected by the Serpents. We begin to catch up on the last five years of each other's life's and I find out my father is leader of the Serpents and is now giving it away to that Betty girl. I guess I'm going to be living with her now. I hope she isn't annoying. My dad speaks very highly of her but I will be the judge of that. Dad shows me to my room and I crash onto the bed immediately. I had spent half of my day on a small and cramped bus, I was glad to have a bed.
I wake up at 4:34am and feel the urge to look through Betty's room. I need to know if I'm living with a crazy person. I sneak into her room and take a look around. I see loads of pictures with her friends and this one guy in particular she had loads of photos with. I noticed that Betty was a good looking person, nice green eyes, wavy blond hair although most of her photos she had her hair up.
I continued looking around and I saw a desk with a whole bunch of homework and test results. I look through the tests and see all her results are 100% or over, how the hell did she get 102% I thought to myself. I continue looking around, I don't see anything to unusual, I then spot a diary. Bingo. I look through it and everything in there is normal. There is something about this girl, good or bad I don't know yet. But... she's different. And I will figure it out one way or another.
