Chapter 7
Betty POV:

I wake up at 5am and couldn't fall back to sleep. I changed into my running clothes, which consisted of leggings and a sports bra. I take my phone and put my earphones in and walk out the house. I run about 5km until I decided to go back home. I walk through the door and I see Jughead on his laptop.

Betty: Hi Jug I say as I'm taking my earphones out. He looks at me for a while and scans my body. Usually if a guy did that to me I would beat the crap out of them but this is Jughead and I really want us to be a thing.
Jughead: Hi Betty. Where were you? He asks me.
Betty: I just went for a run. I'm going to get changed. Do you want me to make you some breakfast?
Jughead: Sure he says with a smile that made me melt.

I walk to my room and quickly change into a crop top, shorts and obviously my Serpent jacket, I put my hair into a messy bun and walk out into the kitchen. I make breakfast for the three of us as Fp had gotten out of his room whilst I was getting changed. I place the plates in front of them and we start to talk.

Fp: what's happening at school day? He asks us while he eats his pancakes.
Betty: Me and Jug are joining the blue and gold; the school newspaper. So we will be staying there after school. Then I'll be at the bar.
Fp: Sounds fun he says while grinning at us. I hear a knock at the door and open it to see Fangs.
Betty: What are you doing here Fangs?
Fangs: I'm going to tell you EVERYTHING. He laughs.
Betty: Yes, start talking I squeal.
Betty: Jug, you coming. He gets his stuff and walks out with us. I look to Fangs and start speaking.
Betty: you have an hour to tell me everything.
Fangs: why only an hour?
Betty: Because Kevin will be talking to me about this for the whole day. We all laugh.
Fangs: ok so after you left we started talking about how evil you are and then the conversation just flowed and everything was perfect. He also said he wanted to go on another date. I asked him to be my boyfriend and he said yes. Me and Fangs both squeal while Jughead laughs at us.

We soon arrive at school where someone grabs my hand and drags me into a empty classroom. Kevin.

Betty: Kevin speak. Tell me everything. I squealed.
Kevin: Of course. It was so perfect, the conversation was so effortless and we have loads in common. Thank you Thank you Thank you for setting us up. He says whilst hugging me.
Betty: you guys are to adorable. We both squeal.

The bell goes and I have English and Sport, both with Jughead. I head to my locker and grab my stuff and head to class. I see Jughead sitting at the back so I next to him.

Jughead: I'm surprised you managed to escape Kevin and Fangs. We both laugh. We finish English and head to Sport.

The teacher starts yelling at us to do laps around the oval. We all start running, we had completed about 2 laps when I see Jughead starting to slow down.

Betty: Come on Jughead, catch up I say laughing.
Jughead: how are you not out of breathe he says catching up to me as I had stopped to wait for him.
Betty: When I was training for the Serpents you need to be able to do many things. Such as running long distances. Now hurry up.
Jughead: If I try to attempt another lap i will faint. I chuckle.
Betty: Come on. Just one more lap.
Jughead: ugh fine! If I die you have to explain this to my dad.
Betty: Stop whining and start running I chuckle.
Running was our warm up, we then had to do self defence. Me and Jughead pair up together. I'm not sure how strong he is but I know I'm stronger.
Betty: Ready to get pinned to the floor by me. I say with a laugh.
Jughead: what makes you think it won't be the other way around? He smirks.
Betty: Answer this then. Have you ever been in a fight?
Jughead: well... no
Betty: Mhh. Then let's see who wins.

We get into positions. We begin to slowly move around the mat until he takes a leap towards me and I pin him to the ground.
Jughead: what the hell. How did you do that, that wasn't human.
Betty: Jug, have you forgotten I'm a Serpent. I would be an embarrassment if I couldn't do that, it's the basics. We both laugh.
Jughead: why did you become a Serpent and why are you and my dad so close he asks with genuine interest.
Betty: let's ditch class and I'll tell you.
Jughead: won't we get caught?
Betty: Don't worry about it Jones. The teachers barely notice we're here, they won't notice if we leave. He stands there still not convinced. I grab his hand and pull him out of the room.
Betty: now hurry up before I literally drag you out of here. And I think we both know I can. We laugh.
Jughead: Fine! But if we get caught this is all your fault.
Betty: Deal. I say.
