"Your kidding, right?" The headmistress of Guradian Academy sat behind her desk, reading over the report. "Your saying three of my students are currently trapped in the city, with two shadows and a dusk?" This was the last thing she needed. In addition to the local GUARD failing to respond to the Shadow wolf and hawk, three first years were still within the city. While she was proud of her students for wanting to stay and help, they were grossly underprepared to take on two shadows in their current condition. Naomi, Shira, and Izumi had recived treatment after their battle with the second years, but they weren't completely healed.

To teach students to vaule their health and aviod recklessess in battle, students weren't healed completely during treatments. The worst injuries were healed first, usually leaving only pain, bruises and sniffiness to heal normally.

"What are you going to do?" Mizu asked the headmistress. As the guradian of the academy's lake, one of Mizu's many duties was teleporting student's weapons to them.  When Izumi had asked for their weapons, she knew something was wrong. "I've been trying to contact them for over an hour. Why are you just now learning about this?"

The headmistress pinched the bridge of her nose. "Some third years thought its be funny to switch the non-explosive gems with exploding ones." She rolled her eyes, "The teachers still haven't finished dealing with that mess." Why did students always feel the need to cause trouble?

"That explains the smoke coming from the second floor." Mizu said. "The situation in the city is the more urgent matter." Since communications weren't working, they had no idea what the current situation was.

The headmistress scrolled through her compact, looking at varies student's stats. "Most of the teachers will be busy dealing with everything directly. My main concern is getting the students to safety first." Stopping at the profile of a second year, she selected it. "Keji will lead a three man team into the city."

Mizu looked over the profile, "Wouldnt a third year be better suited? All of the second years have no experience in battling Dusks." During the second half of the school year, first years began going on assignments that allowed them to learn how to held Shadows. Around this time, second years being learning how to combat Dusks. "At least send a teacher with them."

The headmistress shook her head, "Any teachers not assisting in the city, will have to remain on campus." Finished choosing the rest of the team, she went them a message to report to her office.

"No fair! I wasn't ready!" Yuka picked the ball up from where it landed in the goal. Ice encased the ball, as she got ready to pitch it. Guardian Ball was one of the many unique sports that required energy manipulation or being a Guradian to play. Teams worked to score points by getting the ball into another teams goal. Players were required to use their powers or energy manipulation to move the ball. One could touch the ball with their hands, only if they were going to use their powers or energy manipulation.

"Stop wincing." Reo shouted, tried of Yuka stopping the game every five minutes. "Just toss the ball already." Reo was a earth elementist with a guard sub-class. During the game, he used his powers to create mini-earthquakes to distact the other team. While no one, including his own teammates, liked this tractic, Yuka was the most vocial about it.

"Hush! Reo!" Yuka pitched the ice encased ball with all of her strength at Reo's head. The ice elementist had a bit of a firey temper when it came to her friend. Reo always managed to get Yuka, 'fired up.'

Reo used his powers to create an earth sheild in front of him. To his shock, the ball smashed a hole through his sheild and continued traveling towards the other goal. Teiki, a healer class, stopped the ball inches from the goal using energy manplution. Using more energy, he launched the ball back at Yuka.
