They felt the sting of the handprint on their cheek. It was a far away feeling but still there, even though they knew nothing he happened. Loki had his hand raised, and Y/N flinched back into the shadows. When Loki realized what Y/N thought he was going to do, he brought his hand down.
"Y/N I'd never... You know that." He tried to soften his voice. Y/N had wrenched themselves way from an abusive relationship before, and they thought that Loki was good enough to never do such a thing. Oh how wrong they were. They left their old life in a rural town in Connecticut for the big life with Loki in New York. They probably had enough money to make it back home, but how? They stepped back again, not trusting the crazed look in Loki's eyes, the anger thinly veiled with soft comfort.
"I threw everything away for you, but now I have to throw you away too." Y/N turned away. Loki followed them to their shared room.
"I'd never do that to you YN, you know that."
"Do I?" They asked, spinning to face Loki head-on. "You know what was about to happen."
