Now that it's December it means tis the season to buy crap for other people. I head up to target because that store basically has everything.
Also December marks my 7th month of this pregnancy, only 2 left. I'm slowly growing more but it should stop at the end of this month that and I've been eating slightly more. I walk through the kitchen aisle searching for my mothers gift. I pass by a toaster and a new microwave. I end up buying her about 500 new coffee K-Cups.
Next aisle was the men's department. My dad was pretty easy to shop for he really just wanted 2-3 new polos to add to his already large collection. I grab a red on and a orange one "Which do you like better Chris." I smile at him and he sits at the cart." he looks at the shirt for a second and then reaches for the orange one. "I like that one too." I laugh and place it in the cart along with a maroon one as well.
Back to the electronic sections of Target I'm looking for the phone case Veronica has been pushing on me for the past week. I scan the aisle and I see the pink case but it's locked in. I swivel back around and walk to the man standing behind the phone counter. "Could you unlock a case for me." I smile at the man.
"No problem that's my job." he says and we walk back to the aisle. "Which one is it."
"That pink one right there." I point to Veronica's gift the guy pulls out keys and unlocks the case handing me the box.
"Here you go, enjoy the case." he smiles and leaves back to his station. I look at the case it's pretty plain it's a pink Otter box but I don't really care.
I shop for my cousins and aunt plus the kids and that is pretty much the shopping trip.
I hear my phone ring and it's Sam. "May I help you." I say and walk down the snack aisle.
"Hey Beth just wondering why you haven't called." he laughs.
"It's only been 2 weeks and I haven't had the time." I lie because I really just forget to call it's not on my mind.
"You don't sound busy right now."
"I'm at Target, so I guess I'm not really busy."
"Are you buying my gift." he asks.
"Um didn't cross my mind." I admit to him.
"Well I suggest you buy one because I might have a box with your name." he jokes.
"Then I better go buy something." I sigh.
"Don't forget about Phil, he already bought you something." he says and I press my lips together, why am I nervous.
"Uh ok call you later." I tell Sam.
"Hang out later." he laughs.
"I have Chris."
"Doesn't matter I like the kid so just stop by," he says.
"Where exactly do I stop by?" I ask.
"My place I'll text you the address." he says.
"I'll see." I breathe out and hang up. What the hell am I suppose to buy those two. I head back to the men's department and pick out a simple blue button down and socks for Sam, speaking this is all last minute. For Phil I wasn't really sure but I stopped by the school supplies aisle buying him a new tag for the desk and desk calendar speaking I'll be gone for a while and he'll be taking over. I also buy him 3 ties speaking he likes wearing them.
By 1pm I'm done with all the shopping and I drive back home putting the bags into the spare room. Shopping went smoothly and now I could rest, or so I thought. My phone rings once but I ignore it, wait another few seconds and it rings again. By the 5 attempt of the persons calls I answer.
"What!" I snap through the line.
"Hi Beth are you still coming over." Sam laughs.
"No I'm not I don't want to go over sorry." I tell him.
"I doubt you have anything better to do so come on." he pleas from the other line. I don't have anything to so, well besides play with Chris but I do that everyday. "Still there Beth?"
"Where do I go?"
He chuckles a little before answering "My place well it's mine and Phil's but here's the address." Finishing the call I pick up Chris. Looks like I'm hanging out with Sam today, plus Phil hopefully.
