CHAPTER 5
Recap: Jale took Megan to a bar for their first date. It was awkward and lame and Jale is stupid.
Jale's POV
"You just got lucky." I said sourly.
"You say that everytime I beat you at a videogame." Evan chuckled.
"Yeah, well you're a really lucky guy."
He rolled his eyes at my childish behaviour.
"Oh by the way, how did the date go in the end? With... Marissa?"
"Megan. And don't remind me. That went horrible." I said, leaning back into Evan's lazyboy.
"Well, you did take her to a bar."
"She said she wanted to go there!" I defended.
"Yeah, well it's okay. Nobody expects you to be romantic anyways." He teased while patting my shoulder.
"I can be romantic!" I protested.
"Of course, and I'm superman."
"Shh! That's supposed to be a secret!"
He grinned and shook his head condescendingly. "And to think this girl wasn't all over you yesterday! I can't possibly imagine why."
I merely punched him on the shoulder while he smirked victoriously at me.
"You're such a poo face." I whined.
He froze and turned to me with a serious look on his face.
"Sh*t just got personal." He said right before he pounced on me, making us both land on the floor.
That was the way Evan's mother found us, both wrestling each other. He had me pinned on the floor.
His mother took one glance at us an threw her apron on the floor. "I give up!" She said and scurried away. "Useless child." She muttered playfully, making us both burst in laughter.
"I like your mom." I said.
"I like your mom." He said.
"I like like your mom."
"I love your mom."
"I f*cked your mom."
"I f*cked your mom too. "
"Twice." He added.
"Aw man that's just nasty."
This is the kind of friendship I have with Evan. He's my best buddy and we joke around about everything, as it was previously demonstrated.
But in the end, he's like a brother to me. We're cool.
"Jale darling! Your mother's on the phone!" Evan's mom, Hanna called.
I rolled my eyes. I probably forgot to take out the trash or something.
"Hello?" I said to my mom while putting her on speaker.
"Honey, there's someone here for you."
"What, at home?"
"Yes dear, she arrived a few minutes ago. Her name is... Hold on Jale."
In the background I could hear my mom asking for the person's name.
"Her name is Megan. Shall I send her over?"
Evan and I answered simultaneously. While I said no, Evan said yes. He pushed me away and grabbed the phone.
"I'd love for Megan to come over Mrs. P." He said politely.
