Chapter 21

Megan's POV

Oh. My. God.

There is no worse torture than having to listen to an absolute airhead babble about her dog for fourty five minutes straight.

"And then he did this weird thing with his tail and I was so confused. But then, he squatted and shat on the lawn! Like oh em gee I totally didn't see that coming!" Kelly exclaimed, basking in the memory of her dog taking a sh*t.

"Oh my gosh, me neither." I said dully, completely disinterested.

I picked at my nails while she proceeded to talk about how she didn't have a bag to put the sh*t in and how it was oh-so scandalous when people didn't pick up after their pets.

Once, I really had to pee so I went and sh@t in the woods. Is that scandalous too? Because poop can be good fertilizer.

Just saying.

Suddenly, the door burst open to reveal an angry looking Chris.

"Kelly get out of here." He barked.

She scurried out of the room with her obnoxiously loud stilletos and closed the doors behind her.

"What's wrong?" I asked, trying to sound concerned.

"I think it's time we taught Jale a lesson."

"What? Why?" I asked nervously.

"Because he's been talking back to me, that's why." He seethed. "You're not having secong thoughts, are you?" He studied me attentively.

"Second thoughts?" I scoffed. "Second thoughts?! Ha. Second thoughts are for weaklings." I smirked, snaking my arms around his waist.  "I am not a weakling." I whispered and he shuddered.

"Good." He grabbed my hand and led me through hallways and down some stairs.

Just as we were about to enter a room, Chris stopped abruptly.

"Let's make this painful for him." He grinned sickly.

I grinded my teeth together as he scooped up my thighs and lifted me up against his chest. I begrudgingly wrapped my legs around his hips and swallowed back rising bile.

"Let's do this baby." I bit my lip.

He pushed the door back with his back and I was surprised by the look of the place.

This looks like an abandoned cellar. Kind of like in the movies...

It was very dark and musty. The air felt humid, thick and heavy. The walls were made of cement and had cracks in them. The place was deserted, or so it seemed.

"Kiss me." Chris ordered.

I did as he asked and pressed my lips against his. They felt so dry and wrong against mine.

"Hey Jale! How would you like, to watch a show?" Chris said in mock enthusiasm, letting me go.

He walked up to the bars of the cellar that seemed empty to me.

"Show yourself!" Chris barked. "I brought you a surprise." He coaxed.

Out of the far corner of the cellar, a mass stirred. Slowly, it came forth and I gasped in surprise.

Jale stood hagard before us. He looked awful. He was pale, his hair was a mess, his eyes were bloodshot and he had prominent dark circles under them. I could see a faint stubble on his chin starting to form.
